Real Yorkshire Tours A travel business offering days out, family adventures, bespoke trips and experiences in Yorkshire - There’s a range of trips for children of all ages. Tim
(11)

Real Yorkshire Tours was set up to help visitors to the region make the most of their stay with driver guided day tours. The idea for the company came about because I’d run a marketing agency for 20 years and recently sold my shares. Having studied geography & geology at University, I have always had a love of travel and the outdoors. This, combined with an interest in nature, the landscape, stone

circles & standing stones, fossils and walking, got me thinking about whether there may be a way of combining my passions into a job? Due to the interest, it became apparent that I would need help, so I have engaged a number of trusted partners to help me with providing a broad range of “real” Yorkshire tours depending on your interests. I’ve personally put together a range of tours, which I have tried to split into 4 different groups of activities:

Guided Tours – where an expert will guide you for the day or part of it. These people will be experienced professional guides – usually with the world recognised Blue Badge qualification. These trips are really for people who want an in depth, educational, informative tour. Family Tours – these trips tend to be more fun and concentrate on seeing or doing things that will keep children amused and entertained. Bespoke Tours – this is where you tell us what sort of things you are interested in and we will plan and co-ordinate an itinerary to suit your needs. We’ll help you plan a really personal Yorkshire tour. Days Out – just want to get a flavor for the region and see some interesting sites, then we have a comprehensive schedule of days out to satisfy all interests and levels of energy. From walks in the Yorkshire Dales, trips to the coast, visits to stately homes or learning new skills with some of our “Yorkshire experiences” – we’ll make sure you have a full, satisfying day out. I have a hands-on approach with the business and have hand vetted and trust all the people who help me run Tim Barber’s Real Yorkshire Tours. Our aim is to give you a really personal experience, so you get a real flavor of the Yorkshire we know and love. I live near Ilkley on the doorstep of the Dales with my wife and two children. Hope to meet you soon.
