Following an extensive renovation, keeping the best of the old but adding modern day touches, a 1 bed cottage and 4 bed farmhouse are now OPEN and ready to receive guests. Back in 2016 our beloved family farm stopped being a holiday home - for the simple reason that so many members of our family have decided to move back to the area in recent years so visiting family and friends stay with them. Na
ntygwynfan Farm has been in our family since 1880 and with such rich family history there is no way we could turn our backs on such a special place. It took 13 months to complete a very thorough renovation of the farmhouse, turning it from one large (albeit knocked through back in the 1960s) house back into two cottages. When time has allowed, we have tried to document the process here which, even now, are great to look back on as we look at what has been achieved. We opened in July 2019 at the start of the school summer holidays hoping that we hadn’t missed the summer’s visitors. We could not have predicted the speed in which bookings came in and it has been such a joy to see people enjoying the space and comforts that we have created. Ty Williams is a large 4 bedroom farmhouse with Ty Hughes next door, sleeping 2 in 1 large bedroomed cottage. They can be rented together as there is an adjoining door that can be opened when required. It has certainly been a labour of love and we hope you enjoy looking back on our renovation journey and also hope you agree we have created something that will not only breathe new life into a beautiful building but also give it a new purpose for the next 140 years.

It's never easy capturing the guest book BUT...from another engagement to a Mini Moon, Ty Hughes has been home to some fabulous guests these past few weeks.
I know I'm not good at updating on here but our cottages are still making wonderful homes from home with couples and families creating magical memories 🏡💛 this is precisely why we gave Nantygwynfan this new chapter ❤️

We know it's been 15 months since our last post, life has been so very busy and, at times, overwhelming that posting wasn't possible but we're still here, fully open and looking forward to another year of guests enjoying Ceredigion and all it has to offer.

There are still a few boat trips heading out each day to see the wildlife of the Bay but it's perfection when it can be viewed from the quay.

Summer came and went in a blur of happy guests, sunshine, school holidays and the 'juggle' but we've been here all along welcoming and looking after Nantygwynfan guests throughout.
Today is very special as we received our 200th Airbnb review, another 5* 🎉.
Every review is important as we strive to give our guests the best time away from home and to think we've hosted approx 250 bookings is just amazing (don't forget our website where you can book direct!).

🔨Our latest project 🖌️
It's taken longer than we planned, and isn't complete inside just yet, but we have given a bit of life back to the old Pumphouse.
Tucked away in the corner of the yard it is the first thing you see as you approach so needed sprucing up and given a new purpose.
Hopefully soon it will be a reception area full of local information and all the farm history to read about in one place.

Following the news from Wales' First Minster last week, we are thrilled to be able to reopen Ty Hughes and Ty Williams from March 27th (initially for guests from within Wales) and then hopefully to everyone else from mid April🤞🏻.
Many travellers are thinking quite far ahead and we have only 2 full weeks within July and August, in the ever-popular Ty Williams (sleeps 8), free.
If anyone within Wales is keen for a short break over the Easter weekend we have 30th March to 5th April available, min 3 nights.
