We first saw Dyfi Cottage in March 2018. It had not been lived in for 15 years by then, and was very neglected. Oddly the estate agent didn’t mention that it could have amazing views once the bushes were cut back. For the next two years Tony lived at Dyfi Cottage all week to restore it and I would join him at weekends to paint. Here are a few pictures of our journey.

I’ve found a video I did of the walk down from the road and along the lane and path, for those of you that need to know about access. Parking is best on the road, where there is always plenty, but the lane is fine for drop offs and unloading your stuff.

It’s when you look side by side that you remember how far the cottage has come in 4.5years. 4 years ago today we had the windows replaced, making in watertight for the first time in a good few years.
