If you’re wanting a day out exploring Montenegro have a think about exploring the south of the country. In just over three hours you can get to Ulcinj with its sandy beaches and all along the way you have the Adriatic coastline keeping you company. Ulcinj feels more Turkish or Balkan than the towns around Villa in Zabradje. And unlike most parts of Montenegro it’s flat! After Ulcinj next stop is Albania …

If you want a night away from cooking dinner can we recommend the restaurant at Klinci village resort. It's a 5 minute drive from the villa and the food is excellent. You do need to book in advance. We ordered in advance the slow cooked octopus - it just melted in the mouth ...

Finally got to see the irises in our garden. We came that bit earlier this year to open up the house for our visitors and we were rewarded with these beauties

Villa in Zabrdje is such a popular place to stay that we’ve been fully booked all summer and now only have the first 2 weeks in September available. It’s a good time to visit – places are beginning to quieten down and the weather is perfect for exploring or sitting doing nothing at all ... whatever floats your boat

Stunning views and a very comfortable house

We spent ten days at the property and never tired of the amazing panoramic views, wonderful sunsets and sparkling lights at night-time.

Having three balconies was brilliant. The top one had very comfortable sun loungers for enjoying the sunshine and the stars.
The pool was a wonderful way to cool down and perfect for the kids to play in. The middle balcony was lovely to dine from, leading on from the well equipped kitchen.

Comfortable bedrooms on ground floor which felt quite cool at night time and within very peaceful surroundings.

Plenty of wonderful beaches to visit. The sea was amazing and really great for snorkelling.

Also many interesting day trips to take. Our highlight was a boat trip from Kotor to the blue caves. Kotor market is also lovely for buying food.

Hiring a car is essential to see all the lovely places. There are no bars or restaurants within walking distance which was the only small downside. But, lovely restaurants in Rose which is a ten minute drive. There is a very good local shop about 10 minutes in the other direction. The house is only half an hour from Tivat airport which makes for easy travelling.

Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks very much!

We got back from Zabrdje a few weeks ago to make sure everything was s***k and span for this year’s guests. The pool is looking the best I think it’s ever been – thank you Slobodan. The balcony is the perfect place to sit and while away the days and nights. Montenegro is open and ready to welcome you – hope you all have a smashing holiday.
