Pitt White is a delightful late victorian detached house situated in a peaceful location in the village of Uplyme. A direct footpath leads to an attractive 20 minute riverside walk to Lyme Regis town and seafront. The property benefits from a spacious living room with wood burner, formal dining room and a
large kitchen/breakfast room with Aga. The house is on the site of a former Mill and dates back to the 16th century, It is of historical interest to the village of Uplyme and surrounding areas. The present house was built in 1896 and has been modernised to a very good standard, most bedrooms have en-suite or private facilities. Set 2 acres of delightful grounds the garden is of particular interest to horticulturists as it contains a large collection of mature & rare bamboos. Sunny terrace/patio areas and open lawn as well as wooded pathways. The river Lym runs through the garden & can be crossed by a small open footbridge. The village pub & post office is less than 10 minutes walk. Pitt White is a superb location art, music, yoga and meditation groups. Also for Hen, Stag, birthday celebrations and family reunions.
