We purchased Haviland Cottage in July 2019 , and set about refurbishing it as a luxury , dog friendly holiday let on the outskirts of Ventnor & Bonchurch on the Isle of Wight . We installed new floors , carpets, plantation shutters , heating & lighting as well as giving it a thorough refresh and installing high quality ( if slightly quirky ) furniture .

We have six Golden Retrievers ourselves , so wanted a property with large secure gardens ( there is over 1/2 acre ) , and close to coastal walks , beaches and walks across the downs. Haviland ticks all these boxes .

We were ready to start letting the Cottage out in March 2020, however the lockdown meant that early bookings had to be cancelled or postponed . We finally opened for business on 4th July 2020 , and all six guests that have stayed with us , have left wonderful reviews which can be viewed on the web-site . This property is a real gem, with its beautiful landscaped gardens, spacious accommodation , top end furnishings and equipment, it really is a 5 star property. Having stayed in a number of holiday lets , this is simply the best !”
