Perfect Home from Home
We first visited Tall Timbers in October 2014 and fell in love with it on the way up the drive.
As a family of six, finding somewhere to go on holiday that’s in a beautiful location, with everything we need to hand isn’t an easy task, but Tall Timbers ticks all the boxes. Ventnor is one of the best unspoilt Victorian resorts in the Isle of Wight, if not the whole of the UK, boasting a great climate, plenty of local pubs, restaurants and shops, together with things to occupy us all. It’s also a wonderful base to explore the rest of the island, whether heading into the bustling east side or the more rural west.
The house itself is located on Steephill Road and is unsurprisingly built into the face of a fairly steep hill. The garden is therefore constructed on various levels from the pond and rockery at the front, to the patios, decking and lawns at the rear - all of them filled with palm trees and other exotic plants. Indoors is a tranquil haven with beds and bedrooms aplenty - including the wonderful Harry Potter under-the-stairs bedroom - a fully-fitted and kitted out kitchen and lounge, and views out to the Channel.
As you can imagine, we love our visits to Tall Timbers and we want our guests to love it too.
