Hurrah, on for a dry one this weekend.
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed 🤞👀
GENERAL WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Good afternoon, all.
This forthcoming weekend isn’t looking too bad at all, with high pressure building in from the southwest and temperatures around average for the end of August.
Here is your all-important weekend outlook.
FRIDAY 30th AUGUST:
After a few mist patches first thing here and there, everyone will enjoy some morning sunshine. Yes, variable amounts of cloud, but at least it's dry.
Into the afternoon and early evening, the sun jeeps on giving with just a slim isolated shower risk with the majority staying dry.
Afternoon temperatures will range from 19 degrees to 22 degrees, Somerset seeing the warmest of the temperatures.
Overnight, it remains dry with clearing skies and mist forming for some.
Temperatures holding up at around 13 degrees for towns and cities. 9 to 11 degrees for rural spots.

SATURDAY 31st AUGUST:
For many, we will be waking to a stunning sunrise with a few waking to mist.
Once this mist clears, we can all enjoy some sunshine for the start of the last day of summer, BUT... changes to what was first forecast is that more cloud will invade from the East as we move into the afternoon.
The afternoon gives much the same with lengthy sunny conditions the further west you are, i.e., West cornwall with others further east will see things cloud over.
Afternoon temperatures will still be slightly up on yesterdays with highs of 20 to 23, possibly 24 degrees. Coolest to the west, warmest inland for Somerset and north Dorset where here we could record a high of 24 degrees.
Evening and overnight, dry, and skies start to clear, mist patches once again due to light winds for some, forming.
Overnight temperatures holding up at around 14 degrees for towns and cities. Rural areas dropping to 9 to 12 degrees.
Winds: E – SE 3mph to 10mph
Temperatures: 9 to 24 degrees

SUNDAY 1st SEPTEMBER
Well, meteorology speaking, Autumn is finally here, or has it been here since the end of June....!
We can’t moan really as it’s not been a total washout summer as temperatures have been around average for June, July, and August. Yes OK not lengthy heatwaves, but nowadays, less there is a heatwave, people seem to think it’s been a pants summer.
I'm not sure how that’s come about or some expectations are being set too high thew3 days... who knows.
Anyway, another dry start to the day with mist to clear for some, others enjoying some morning sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud.
Into the afternoon, it remains dry with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud.
Afternoon temperatures will climb between 20 and 23 degrees again with Somerset seeing the warmest of the temperatures for our region.
Evening and overnight, the high pressure stays in control with just a small chance of a shower popping off and pushing up from the near continent of France.
Any showery rain should stay to the east of our region based on latest model data but there is a small risk that anywhere along the south coast from Devon eastwards I would say, could see some spots of rain.
Overnight temperatures dropping to an average of 14 to 16 degrees fo3 towns and cities, so a mild night for sleeping, which is due to cloud building from the south. 10 to 13 degrees for rural areas.
Winds: NE – E - SE 4mph to 9mph
Temperatures: 12 to 23 degrees
Pressure: 1016mb
Humidity: 66%

UV: Moderate
Sunrise: 06:30
Sunset: 19:59
Enjoy the dry weekend, and see you all again Sunday with the 4 day outlook.
