A Very Cornish Christmas
Grab those special Christmas gifts in plenty of time!
Indulge in one of the many Christmas Fairs taking place from mid November, starting with Wadebridge Christmas Market on Saturday 16th November, stroll around the many independent and inventive shops selling everything from clothing to lighting. From 10am - 8pm there will be stalls in Molesworth Street selling local arts, crafts & produce, food trucks, music and festive fun.
From 22nd to 24th November Pencarrow House holds their annual 3 day Artisan Christmas Fair. This is one of the most popular Christmas Fairs in North Cornwall so get there early! An abundance of stalls selling some of the best artisan food, drink & craft produced in Cornwall, situated throughout the magnificent rooms of this historic house within the most beautiful grounds.
A Celebrity Christmas Lights switch on takes place in Wadebridge on Friday 29th November at the Band Stand at 6.30pm, There will be Christmas Choirs, music and late night shopping.
Wadebridge holds it traditional Late Night Shopping event on Friday 13th December followed by a quiet firework display in Jubilee Fields (tbc so keep an eye on our events page or socials).

In and around Padstow
If Christmas Fairs are not your thing then there are plenty of other events going on! For a family day out why not sample a little of Christmas at Camel Creek Family Adventure Park from the 30th November until the 23rd December. Festivities include storytelling with Santa (a free gift for every child!), Christmas crafts and present wrapping contests. The Cornish Arms at St Merryn are holding a variety of events over November and December. Trevose Golf Club have festive lunches, wreath making workshops and silver making workshops in November and December.
Coming into December the Wadebridge Christmas Panto takes place at Wadebridge Town Hall, 4th - 7th December, this year it is Aladdin, great fun for all the family! Then there is the Dickensian Evening at Lostwithiel on the 12th December. Stiltwalkers, and other Victorian characters will join you in the streets along with many locals and visitors. Shops around town are open until 9pm and many shopkeepers dress up in Victorian garb too. Stiltwalkers, Choirs, Bands, Musicians and Buskers, perform throughout the evening in the street and in venues around town, singing carols and festive music. Vintage, Antiques, Homespun, Craft, Food & Drink and gift stalls can be found in the Church Rooms, Social Club, down Fore Street and the Parade Area. For children there's a traditional Santa's grotto
The first of Padstow's Christmas festivities, Nadelik Lowen takes place on Saturday 30th November, There will be plenty of children's activities throughout the day including face painting, balloon modelling, family disco, art & crafts and children's entertainer Emazdad on the stage 1pm - 2pm. For the adults some late night shopping, craft stalls, live music, BBQ and more! Make sure you are at the bandstand by 5pm for the Padstow carollers followed by the Christmas lights switch on!
Even though the Padstow Christmas Festival was cancelled this year, there is still plenty going on in Padstow town from 5th - 8th December! Take a stroll around the harbour, beautifully decorated with Christmas lights to enhance that wonderful festive spirit. Browse in the shops and perhaps pick up some gifts & treats for under the tree. The Shipwrights pub on North Quay are hosting a Christmas market with local traders from 12 - 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday with live music throughout both days. An Artisan Craft Market will also be taking place in the Padstow Institute from 2nd - 6th. The Jubilee Queen will be providing their usual Christmas live music events aboard throughout the weekend as per previous years and Bin Two will hold their annual Christmas Carol singalong from 7pm on the Friday evening in The Drang, grab some mulled wine, cocktails, local wines & spirits and join in the grand singalong.
Many restaurants will be open with special menus and events. Prawn on the Lawn in Duke Street have guest chef Ben Tonks on Saturday 6th for their Seahorse Takeover and on Sunday there will be a Crab Feast, to get your tickets email [email protected] or call 07926 128148. Little Prawn just across the road will be serving up local oysters, drinks & bar snacks Friday night and all day Saturday, just turn up! If you fancy wine tasting then pop along to 17 Duke Street - booking in advance is advised. If you are into your Gin then you must visit Rock Gin on Lanadwell Street who will be offering tastings and nibbles, just pop along throughout the weekend and meet the friendly crew!
