As we are coming to the end of the peak holiday season, here is a quick update on the state of play at the major airports around our area and further afield.

Leeds/Bradford
Advise arriving around 2.5 hours before departure. Arrivals are taking approx 40-50 mins to clear customs and collect baggage.

Manchester
Advise arriving 3 hours before departure. Arrivals are taking approx 50-75 mins to clear customs and collect baggage.

Doncaster
Advise arriving 2 hours before departure. Arrivals are taking approx 30-45 mins to clear customs and collect baggage.

East Midlands
Advise arriving 2.5 hours before departure. Arrivals are taking approx 45-60 mins to clear customs and collect baggage.

London Airports (Heathrow/Stansted/Gatwick)
Advise arriving 3 hours before departure. Arrivals are taking approx 60-90 mins to clear customs and collect baggage.

We have done 16 airport runs so far this week, so here is some advice for those of you lucky enough to be going on holiday between now and the end of the school holidays.

• Please allow yourselves at least 3 hours check in. This is especially important if your flight is early morning (between 4am and 8am).

• If you're going with TUI, expect delays!

• Jet2 and Ryanair are the most efficient at the moment, followed by EasyJet, BA and TUI.

• Long haul carriers are pretty much business as usual (Emirates, Quantas, Virginia, etc).
