✈ Exciting news for the aviation industry!

🌍The UK Department for Transport has today launched a consultation to modernise airspace design for the first time in 70 years, aiming to create quicker, quieter, and cleaner flights. This initiative includes the proposed establishment of a UK Airspace Design Service, which would work with airports to enhance flight efficiency, reduce delays, and lower carbon emissions.

💻With over 2.6 million aircraft flying through the UK annually, and July seeing some of the busiest days on record with a peak of 8,239 flights in UK airspace, the DfT and UK CAA are seeking views on how to modernise and embrace new technologies to develop an airspace system fit for the future.

♻️I personally look forward to any solutions that offer an efficient, greener and more sustainable future for travel that will enable us to continue to enjoy and explore our beautiful world without adding to the Climate Crisis.
