The largest of our six barns, Great East sits at the southern point of our ancient flint buildings. Set out across two floors, the airy architecture of this magnificent barn forms the focal point of its design, with clean lines and a vibrant palette.

Each bedroom has its own distinct colour scheme, incorporating fabrics by throughout. A master suite with a four-poster bed and its own roll-top bath sits opposite a twin room upstairs, while five cosy bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, each one with its own ensuite bathroom or shower room.

With expect ample space for entertaining and unwinding, a spacious dining area for celebratory get-togethers, a large private garden with an outdoor hot tub, a roaring fire for chillier days and breath-stealing views.

Morston is one of our guests' favourite stops along the coast for a long walk. This National Trust-run part of the salt marsh has a generous car park (free for members), handy facilities, a café kiosk, and a second-hand bookshop. It's a great place to bring dogs and children, and there's a fairly short loop that's ideal for little legs.

For those feeling adventurous, the Norfolk Coast Path heads out in both directions, taking you towards Cley and Weybourne to the east and Stiffkey and Wells-next-the-Sea to the west.

Morston is also home to Bishops Boats, Temple's Seal Trips and Bean's Boats who all run trips out to Blakeney Point to see the Grey and Common seal colonies.

It’s hard to imagine Long Meadow’s former life as a milking parlour, with its huge oak-beamed sitting room, serene bedrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows. Sleeping up to eight, this exceptional barn personifies slow mornings and drawn-out evenings, with mesmerising views as your backdrop.

Long Meadow sleeps up to eight in a peaceful haven tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life. Lofty spaces, traditional flint walls and sky-high beamed ceilings are complemented by a clean, calm design that invites you to hunker down and relax.

With a huge living area framed by a floor-to-ceiling window and views of the Stiffkey Valley, Long Meadow is also an ideal option for groups seeking space for yoga classes and wellness retreats.

Four cosy bedrooms, including a fun bunk room for children and a secret chillout area, provide a quiet escape at the other end of the barn.

The large, dog-friendly walled garden with outdoor dining area and BBQ comes with views over the rolling hills just waiting to be savoured over a sundowner, while a door connecting this garden to High Barsham’s next door offers the chance to link two barns together, sleeping up to 20 for a stay to remember.

06/08/2024

This beautiful corner of North Norfolk has its own special charm in every season, but there's nothing quite like harvest. Endless rolling fields of golden stubble, the sweet smell of cut straw in the air, and hazy evenings with the hum of combine harvesters in the distance - it really is something else.

And there's something magical about watching the countryside's palette change from the acid greens of spring and early summer to tones of pale gold and buttery yellow.

The West Barsham estate carefully balances productive farmland with preserved meadows, regenerated marshland and tranquil woodland to create a haven for local wildlife.

Did you know that you can now book Meadow House for your wedding?

Meadow House is the perfect venue for an intimate, quintessentially English wedding with the option of a ceremony in the beautiful gardens or the tiny neighbouring church. Imagine a weekend of rural bliss, all set in and around this 400-year-old manor house at the heart of our private family estate.

Arrive on Friday and take some time to relax and soak up the beauty of the countryside, or kick off your celebrations with a visit to our on-site brewery to sample some of our specialist brews.

Pick your favourite vista at Meadow House for a celebrant-led service for your vows. Alternatively, you could choose to hold your service at a local registrar’s office or speak to our local vicar about having a church ceremony on the estate or at one of the neighbouring parish churches.

Great East is the largest of our barns. Set out across two floors, the airy design and layout make the most of the architecture and stunning views from the huge windows.

With a vast living/kitchen/dining area on the first floor, Great East is perfect for big groups and entertaining.

Cook up a storm as you chat with friends in the open-plan kitchen and enjoy sundowners in your private garden, with an outdoor dining table that overlooks the meadows beyond. Celebrate around the oak dining table, seating 14, or, if you’ve booked two barns, extend it for up to 22 for a true gathering to remember.

On chilly evenings, gather around the wood burner in the huge living room, taking in the immersive views of the Stiffkey River, or retreat downstairs to the cosy snug on the ground floor.
