Rich, warm, autumnal hues make Great East the perfect retreat in the colder months.
The largest of our luxurious dog-friendly barns, Great East sits at the southern point of our ancient flint buildings. Set out across two floors, the airy architecture of this magnificent barn forms the focal point of its design, with clean lines and a vibrant palette.
Each bedroom has its own distinct colour scheme, incorporating fabrics by @florasoames throughout. A master suite with a four-poster bed and its own roll-top bath sits opposite a twin room upstairs, while five cosy bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, each one with its own ensuite bathroom or shower room.
With bright, sweeping communal spaces, Great East is designed with entertaining in mind. Gather around the wood burner in the huge living room, taking in immersive views of the Stiffkey River as you settle in for an evening together. Or retreat for a quiet afternoon with a book in our relaxed TV area downstairs.
Cook up a storm as you chat to friends in the open-plan kitchen and enjoy sundowners in your own private garden, with an outdoor dining table that overlooks the meadows beyond. Celebrate with meals around the oak dining table, seating 14, or, if you’ve booked two barns, extend it for up to 22 for a true gathering to remember. Comfortable, chic and designed for an incredibly sociable experience, this luxury self-catering barn is a true one-off.

Did you see the brilliant article in @stylistmagazine on why the North Norfolk coast should be your next staycation destination?
'We stayed in the mid-sized Long Meadow and instantly fell in love with the soaring beam ceilings, soothing cottagecore decor (from interiors queen @florasoames) and secluded front terrace sun-trap. All four bedrooms were incredibly comfy and came equipped with en suites of escalating size, while the living room boasts gasp-worthy views over the Stiffkey Valley.
It’s the sort of place you could happily disappear into for a lazy weekend without ever leaving the property, particularly when the welcome basket is stuffed full of local goodies, including beers from the on-site brewery and an entire Victoria sponge. However, you’d be missing out if you didn’t go exploring, particularly with so much striking scenery right on your doorstep.'
Huge thanks to George Wales and all at Stylist for such a brilliant write-up.

~Best of Norfolk: Yalm~
@letsyalm is one of Norwich's newest eateries, and in our opinion, it's one of the best places to eat in the city. Set in the heart of @the_royal_arcade it's home to 6 independent kitchens and 3 independent bars. The food hall upstairs has a great atmosphere with big, shared tables and a buzzy vibe, and the whole restaurant is dog friendly.
Our local favourite @erics__pizza has a spot upstairs serving up their incredible pizzas, and we love modern Mexican @thebahakitchen and the North African plates @weare_souk
This is a great place to head if you're in a big group and need to appeal to a range of tastes, and it's open 8 - 11 Tuesday - Saturday and 9 - 6 on Sundays.
The barns are less than an hour from Norwich, and there's so much to see and do in the city we highly recommend taking time to visit.

Did you know that the West Barsham Estate has been owned and farmed by the same family for three generations?
The barns are wrapped in over 2,500 acres of tranquil woodland, regenerated marshland and carefully-preserved meadows, where wildlife thrives, wading birds flock and rare-breed sheep graze.
Golden fields of wheat and barley are farmed using innovative techniques focussing on soil restoration and sustainable farming methods for the future.
Standing alongside are vital wetland meadows and 280 acres of regenerated marshland, home to a plethora of wildlife, as well as swathes of restored woodland, conservation sites and wild hedgerows.
Our very own apiary provides a home to the honeybees that pollinate the huge array of wildflowers across the estate.

The breathtaking living room in our largest barn, Great East, is a space to be savoured. With expansive views out of the huge picture window across the Stiffkey River valley and a carefully planned split-level layout, this room is the ultimate space for lounging, gathering or entertaining.

~Best of Norfolk: Rocky Bottoms~
Love seafood? You need to visit @rockybottoms.uk
Perched on top of the cliffs at West Runton overlooking the sea, Rocky Bottoms has the most enviable locations. The views are spectacular whether you visit during the day or in the evening.
This charming restaurant is family-run, and the fish is caught just beyond the cliffs, so the food couldn't be fresher. And almost no food miles to speak of.
Rocky Bottoms is famous for its lobster, which often sells out incredibly quickly. Everything on the menu is delicious, fresh and hearty.
Bring your four-legged friend and sit in the bar or the beautiful garden area. On your way out, drop in at The Crab Hut for seasonal seafood for later.
Rocky Bottoms is the perfect place to watch the sunset after a busy day exploring the coast.
