You can throw pots on the wheel and learn different hand clay techniques. To create something from nothing is an incredible experience and extremely rewarding! Each creation is left to dry and then put into the kiln for a 'bisque firing', glazed, and put into the kiln again for it's second 'hot' firing. Pottery is our oldest handicraft. Water used to be carried in woven baskets lined with clay. Af

ter the water was poured out the layer of clay dried and separated from the side of the basket, leaving a pot-shaped mold which was left to dry in the sun. It was discovered that these pots made extremely sturdy containers!
