During and following the launch of the Telent Limitless Community, a new group to share thoughts, educate and connect while raising awareness and promoting inclusivity, colleagues have been sharing their experiences.

Tye Cox, SMS Infrastructure Support Engineer at Telent, told us about his story, his work life, and gave advice for people living with a disability and those who want to be an ally to the disabled community. Tye shared how he hasn't let his disability and the challenges he faces as a wheelchair user stop him from living his life.

While Service Leavers have a host of unique qualities that support success within the workplace, many can struggle to adjust to civilian life.

Service Leaver Mark first joined us as a Maintenance Engineer working on the London Underground, before progressing into a variety of areas in the business. Mark believes that the strong ex-Forces presence within Telent helped with transition to civilian life and currently works as the Service Centre Manager in our Transport sector.

With Armed Forces Day coming, we are sharing some of Telent's fantastic Service Leavers. At Telent, we actively promote the recruitment of Ex-military Personnel, with many of our roles suited to the experience and skills they have.

Barry joined us after leaving the military with nine years of service. In 2019, he was promoted to Operations and Services Director at Telent following his successful leadership of Telent’s business in the emergency services sector as General Manager for several years. Barry has since progressed to Strategy & Development Director for Network Services in 2024.

Telent is thrilled to announce the opening of our new rail telecommunications network reference model at the training facility🚆

The Reference Fixed Telecommunications Network (FTNx) model includes simulations of traffic and services, allowing Telent to provide its engineers with hands-on training in a safe, controlled environment away from the live railway.

This means our teams will be able to test solutions for customers like Network Rail in a near-real environment, equipping our engineers with the skills needed for on-site work.
