A lovely day here at the park, summer festival is on full volume and it's looking good for the start of the busy season, that big yellow light has finally switched itself on...

Well that was fun...🤨

Let's get another caravan he said 😬 easy peasy...🫣🥵

Anyway, today I've painted the main bedroom, put up curtains, a bathroom cabinet and laminated the beam above the main living/kitchen area.

Have to say it's made a massive difference and it's really feeling like a home now. Plush carpets, clean, fresh everything you need to have a great relaxing holiday by the sea ⛵

I've added a photo of what it looked like originally so you can hopefully see it's looking a lot better... Let me know what you think!

Just a few little tweaks and it's ready to go for season 2024

Feel free to share with friends and family, it's available to rent from March, prices will always be cheaper than Haven during holiday season 👍

Greetings all...

It's getting near the time when we'll be opening up again and we're really excited about getting back on site, not least because as many of you know, we have a new caravan just a hop and skip from Chateau Blanc

Bookings are starting to come in for both vans, as ever school holidays will be quickly booked up but we do still have some availability, including Easter 🐇.

I expect the summer holidays will be fully booked before we know it so please get in touch with Ian quickly with some preferred dates to avoid missing out...⛱️☀️

The new van is coming along nicely, the new carpets have transformed it and I'll be getting along in the next few weeks to finish the decorating/curtains etc and ensuring it's good to go for the start of the season

Both vans have smart TVs and WiFi, they are even a great place to get away to do some work if you 'work from home'... Kay and I have both done this and it's a nice relaxing 'office' but more so, it means you can watch shows or get online...

Generally we will prefer to book Mon-Fri 4 nights, Fri-Mon 3 nights or 7 nights Inc

Chateau Vert can be booked through Ian or through our lovely agent Eve Evans

Bookings for Chateau Vert will include a cleaning service at the end of the stay, Wessex cleaning can also now be booked through Ian for Chateau blanc at a rate of £45

Whilst Chateau Vert will be a little more expensive than Chateau blanc we will always be cheaper than Haven during holiday periods

Anyway that's enough from me, if anyone wants to book it's best to give me as many date options as you can, I will get back to you with availability and prices...

First visit to start the renovation work at the new van today. A bit of a clean up, measuring for new carpets and filling up 2 large bins with clutter... Next to start the painting and decorating

Interesting to see the park so quiet, lots of work going on though. 2 vans have disappeared next to Chateau Blanc

We have some exciting news....

Meet Chateau Vert, Chateau Blanc has a new sister!

This is number 19 Bayside, a newer 3 bedroom static

It's a lovely layout, with double glazing and all mod cons... We're very excited because it has 2 loos!!! And WiFi...

Over the next couple of months I will be updating it, putting in new carpets, modernising and decorating and making it into a top class caravan for our friends, family and the general public to enjoy

This one will be a little different as we will also be renting externally through an agent, but it's still available to book through us privately for our friends and family, it's pet friendly too

Pricing is still tbc but I'll update as soon as I know

There will also be a facility to pay for cleaning on exit should you wish

I'm sure I'll be showing you our progress over the next few months and we look forward to your continued support

Always a sad time as another year of good times and fond memories comes to an end. The caravan has been winterised and will now hibernate till March 2024

Thank you to all of you who help to support our holiday home by the sea, renting out to friends and family means we can keep costs down and you can enjoy the park and what it has to offer at a fraction of the cost it would be if you booked directly through Haven

The feedback we get is excellent, it seems you enjoy Chateau Blanc as much as we do, please let us know if there is anything else we can do to improve the experience

2024 is in the bag, it's all paid for and we're good to go

As you all know school holidays tend to get booked up well in advance so if you've yet to book for 2024 please drop me a line with some dates and if it's available, I'll book you in

We're not in it for profit, we charge the least we possibly can to make it through to the next season and the fact we can give holidays to our friends and family means a great deal to us, our friends and family make great memories here, that is priceless...

August is pretty much booked solid, we still have a few weekends/midweeks in September and October before we close if you fancy a cheap break

We're now half way through winter shut down and the countdown is on before we can get back to the tin can for the new season.

There is still some availability if you fancy a cheap break away. It's a beautiful part of North Somerset. Contact Ian with your preferred dates and he'll get back to you with prices/details if available.

As you know we only let to people we know and trust so we know it will be looked after and clean, ready for the next guest.

The site has had some major investment with new attractions and outdoor areas, as well as entertainment and swimming.

In the caravan renovations are now pretty much complete with a refreshed kitchen and a new fire and cooker... It's looking mint

We now have WiFi in the caravan too 📶

Looking forward to making memories again this year.

Well it's disappointing but it is what it is. Everywhere prices are going up and times are hard but we've been hit with a ground rent rise of over £1000 for the year 2023

We're not planning on selling up or going anywhere, we've invested too much time and money in our tin can for that to happen, I hope we can stay there for a good few more years yet.

As you all know we only rent to friends and family, people we can trust to treat our holiday home as we like to, like a home away from home, we want to keep it that way.

Thank you for looking after it as well as you do and leaving it spotless for the next guest.

It does mean that there will be small rises in nightly rates but I'm sure you all understand, we're not interested in making a profit, just helping to cover our costs; we really appreciate your support.

I love the fact we can provide you with a great place to stay and memories to keep forever, Doniford Bay is still a great place to go on holiday or have a short break away from it all.

If you haven't already then let me know if there are any dates you would like to stay, remember school/public holidays get booked up quickly.

Here's to a great 2023 at Chateau Blanc

What a spectacular walk from the site to St Audrie's along the beach...

If you have (I can't stress this enough) decent walking boots, a little energy and if you're lucky, a bonkers spaniel to pull you up climbs...

It's well worth it
