Our public 1940s open day is honoured to have 2 War veterans visiting today Mac and Andy Payne The Royal Hussars (PWO- Prince of Wales) regiment. They served in West Germany, NI, Hong Kong and Cyprus. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

This Sunday 29th August is our 1940s public open day. Doors open at 10.30am. There is plenty to see from the 1940s house to experience what it was like to be in a shelter during an air raid. Find out about the Dig for Victory campaign and learn about rationing. Explore the military museum and learn about what the servicemen and women did for the war effort. Once you have done all that you can visit the NAAFI cafe for a nice cuppa, cold drink and for those sweet tooth visitors there is always cake. You can turn up on the day. Hope to see you there.

BREAKING NEWS : We are welcoming the public back for our 1940s day. The first open day back will be Sunday 25th July. Please come and visit, we are looking for volunteers. If you love history or love the glam of the 1940s it's the place to be. Updates will be coming soon.

Good news, as per the Government guidelines The Lincolnsfields PlayZone formerly Funworld softplay in Bushey is opening on Saturday 22nd May 2021. Bookings will be taken from Monday 17th May 2021. While we have been in lockdown some of our volunteers have been rather busy with revamping the museum and some other parts of the 1940s. This set up is in memory of one of our much loved volunteers, colleague and friend David Thornton who passed away. This is based on Arnhem, where he was due to visit with some of our reenactment group members. We hope to open the museum soon so please watch this space.

We are looking forward to welcoming people back to 1940s when Covid19 restrictions are lifted as we are currently refurbishing. We are excited. Hopefully some pictures will be coming your way soon, but we don't want to spoil the surprise.
