Wonderful walk along the river at Culmstock - you can park at Uffculme and follow the river to Culmstock where you can stop at the fantastic The Strand Stores Cafe for coffee, cake, brunch and more!

If you are looking for somewhere for brunch locally you can’t beat Brazier Coffee Roasters. Just a 5-10 minute drive from the cottage Braziers is housed in an old mill. Booking often not required.

This is a fantastic local event. Free vintage bus rides between Wellington and Taunton. Stopping at Sheppy’s Cider Farm

Vintage Bus Day is back! 🚌 Sunday 2nd June.

This year the buses will be based at the old bus station in Taunton, but will be calling in to see us here on the farm. You can enjoy rides every 20 minutes from 10:00am - 4:00pm ride on the FREE Vintage buses between Taunton bus station and Wellington High Street STOPPING at Sheppy's House of Cider every 10 minutes. You can jump on and off the buses all day, so you can see all the different styles.

Our Farmshop and café will be open from 10:00am - 4:00pm if you would like to make a day of it by booking a breakfast or Sunday lunch. We will be offering cream teas, filled baguettes, tea and filtered coffee and a cake selection all from Our old rustic barn.

It should be a wheelyfun day!

45 mins from the cottage - Budleigh Salterton has an all year round dog friendly section of beach. Along with a great park and lots of parking. We walked along the Otter Estuary nature reserve and back to the sea front to the wonderful Fifty Degrees North cafe for coffee and ice creams.

Blue Anchor beach - 40 mins from Woodlands Holiday Cottage Somerset. Great dog friendly beach with lots of free parking. The icing on the cake was the Styles Farmhouse Ice Cream van! Also check out Driftwood Cafe at Blue Anchor for fantastic fish and chips.

Just wow, this cottage had everything you could need for a fabulous relaxing holiday. Liz has thought of everything. Right down to the smallest detail, and you could contact her in a heartbeat if you needed anything else or had any issues (we definitely didn’t) 😀The gifts when you arrive were perfect. I can’t recommend this cottage enough and will be coming back without a doubt. Absolutely loved it 🥰

This is a great event every year. Lots to do for young and old and 35 minutes from Woodlands Holiday Cottage Somerset. We have the weekend of the 17th still available. 🐑 🐄 🐴 🥘 🛍️

With February and most of March booked up - if you'd like a Springtime break please enquire now. Walks from the front door and a dog friendly cafe up the track not to mention the dog friendly pub up the road makes Woodlands Holiday Cottage Somerset a great place to visit in the Spring. Time flies like a magical reindeer - we only have ONE MONTH until our Christmas Market & Lights Switch On event on High Street!

We have a packed schedule of entertainment from local groups and schools and over 30 market stalls have been booked via Wellington Produce Market.

This year is a big one as we will be unveiling a brand-new Christmas lighting scheme, we are so excited for you to see it in action!
