This is the ini

tial stage of the process where ideas and concepts are shared and we look at the overall style, form and functionality of the piece to be commissioned. Design drawings
A number of different approaches are taken in coming up with and presenting a design idea, in some cases a hand drawn sketch will give a clear view of what is to be, at other times a computer generated image can be produced to show how a piece may sit in a room, which helps to give an idea of scale and usability, this is especially helpful for larger scale pieces like fitted wardrobes or a dining room table and chairs. Samples of the various materials that may be involved are produced and finishes discussed
Commissioning the project
This is where the design is confirmed and agreed upon and the piece is programmed into the schedule of works, sometimes a prototype can be produced out of a lower grade material to allow a client to make any final adjustments or additions to the design, this is often a valuable process when producing pieces like chairs and tables to make them as ergonomic as possible to the individual client. This is also where a contract of works would be discussed and mutually agreed, it is also where initial material payments are paid
Build Phase and delivery
The final stages of the bespoke experience is where the piece starts to become a reality and clients are very welcome to visit the workshops and see it come to life from initial machining of the raw materials into the more detailed machining of joints and dry assemblies, right through to finishing stages and transformation into a finished product. Delivery
