Who is feeling a bit of fear right now?
There is so much going on in the world that is frightening. This is the time to hold our visions..we have to wholehearted have to hold the vision that we have empathy, love and understanding for others. We can come to an understanding of our differences, we can overcome our traumas without hate in our hearts. I

Entering a temple of colour healing
One of the really interesting lessons I have learned in the course I have been doing is letting go of a lot of instruction in guided visualisations etc. Just showing or inviting and image and letting your inner knowing respond to that image. So you give yourself the time and space to enter this image. Where does it take you?

The spider and the quill pen
One of the things I have been having fun with lately is turning my images into stories with meaning. This is a whole new adventure for me. If you had a spider and a quill pen in a room.. what story does this conjure up for you ?

Creating your inner Totem pole
Loving the journey in the school of imaginal healing on creating your inner totem pole. A journey through the energy centres in the Eastern teachings. My biggest surprise was the symbol of a cross in my throat centre. Realised that my years of religious schooling had more of an effect on silencing myself than I realised.

Your inner totem pole
Loved the excercise we did in the School of Imaginal healing. A visualisation journey through the concept of the bodies energy centres, an Eastern concept. I was pretty free..apart from my throat centre.. no surprises there but the image here surprised me. I hadn't realised how much my religious schooling had created a guilt inside me. And a revelation to use the images in the strong energy centres to inform and bolster the weaker. Fascinating stuff.

Art reflecting life
Had to laugh at this collection of carved pumpkins outside a local building here in Weymouth. Sort of reflects how I am feeling at the moment in writing my book, stuck in a corner with numerous feelings!

It's the little things that count.
Out on a walk at the weekend I was thrilled to see a little field mice. I have never seen a one in the wild before. They are so elusive. It came out on the path and was just playing around and it made my day.

Soul loss, dissociation?
I get slightly annoyed at all the terms thrown out there about childhood trauma, This image that I pulled from AI exploring a childhood memory of myself as a child in the corner of a classroom being abused by a teacher. There was so much going on in my life at the time, I felt totally overwhelmed as decided that I would escape somehow in my imagination. Was it a soul loss no... was it a dissociation no... the shadow was my imagination as a form of protecton... I didn't lose my soul ( what the heck is that anyway?) I didn't lose that memory through dissociation.. just choose to forget for a while, till it was time to come back. For all the inner children inside that experienced great pain of you, stay open to the fact that there is a part of you that is protected and you will find that part of you again.

The coal miners granddaughter
In the process of diving deeply into working with imagination, beautiful joyful memories are coming up for me. I felt called to write a short story of my ancestry, born into 6 generations of men who spent most of thier lives from the ages of 12 and some of them for over 50 years spending most of thier lives working in the dark, underground. My grandfather was one of those men, and the happy memories are of the times we spent in nature every Sunday throughout my childhood. I realised that it was a mutually healing time for both of us, connecting with nature. As a child I didn't understand how important this time being in nature was to him.
To spend so much time in the dark of a coal mine for the majority of your life sounds terrifying to me.
I am so grateful that I have had the freedom to choose.
And I am reminded that there are still so many in the world who still have no choice or little choices.
There were some men who worked down the mines in the North East of England that started painting. They are called The Pit painters. They painted realistic paintings of thier lives of what it was like to work down the coal mines. I feel called to learn more. And I feel that I need to dedicate my book to my grandfather and all my ancestors before me.
