Kingsbere Annexe is a stylish ground-floor annexe purpose-built for a powerchair user and completely renovated for use as holiday accommodation in 2023. The annexe is a 5 minutes level walk to the beach and has level access/interior, ceiling hoist, profiling bed, wide doorways, accessible height switches and sockets, and luxury wet-room.
Kingsbere Annexe has a spacious open-plan design. The sleeping/living area has a single profiling bed with side rails, X-Y ceiling hoist, double Next sofa bed, wall-mounted Amazon Fire Smart TV and remote control mood lighting.
The modern kitchen overlooks the front garden and has a full-size fridge, microwave, sink, Nespresso coffee machine, and storage space. Guests can enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The annexe has a pull-out extendable dining table seating three.
Kingsbere Annexe has a spacious luxury wet-room with step-free shower, wheel-under washbasin, and wheeled shower/commode chair (the shower has both a rainfall shower head and separate hand-held shower attachment). Guests can loan a leg support/raiser for the profiling bed, and a mobility scooter is available to hire.
The annexe has private hard-standing parking suitable for a large adapted vehicle and second vehicle; and a gentle ramp suitable for heavy power chairs leads through a landscaped garden to the extra wide entrance. The internal lobby is suitable for wheelchair turning and leads into the accessible suite.
Kingsbere Annexe is situated in a quiet residential area just a 5 minutes level walk to the beach and beachside facilities at Overcombe, the SW coastal path, and local nature reserve.
The annexe is situated on the iconic Jurassic Coast with the stunning natural attractions of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door just a 15 minutes drive away. The bustling town centre of Weymouth is a 5 minutes drive, or 5-10 minutes on the regular bus services.
Kingsbere Annexe is in a prime location for exploring the Weymouth and Portland area on the Dorset Coast. Weymouth offers beautiful golden sands sprinkled with deckchairs, safe shallow waters, an action-packed events programme and pretty harbourside. The world was introduced to the Georgian grandeur of Weymouth during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the seafront provided an impressive backdrop to the sailing events. Weymouth Beach was voted the UK’s beach of the year 2023, according to The Times and Sunday Times.
