Going on holiday with children for many is anxiety inducing, let alone cruising with infants and younger children.
We tried MSCโs mini cruise with our 8 month old, to see what it would be like to take him onboard, and also if we could manage a longer trip away with him!
๐ Firstly it was such a simple boarding process even with the pram and luggage! No faffing and limited queuing as they allowed us to go in a faster lane to get onto ship quicker, as they could see we had a young baby.
๐ The nursery (6 months - 36 months) on board is FREE! We trialled a 2 hour slot to allow us some adult time in the bar. You can book as many slots as you need for your cruise. There is also kids club from 3-17 years old (separate ones for different age ranges). Our son played for the whole time with the nursery staff and didnโt even miss me! It is well equipped and staffed with 1:5 ratio and a max of 10 at anyone time. We only had 3 infants in our session so the ratio was almost 1:1.
๐ Infants sail free so there is no financial risk taking a child with you. You can try the food from the buffet or even get a special รก la carte menu too! They offer travel cots, high chairs and push chairs so you donโt have to take your own!
If you are considering cruising and have children my advice is definitely give it a go! You wonโt be disappointed.
