Does anyone have any old fashioned metal oval or round planters, leaky watering cans or washbowls etc that they do not need any longer ?
I want to create a new garden feature by sinking or half sinking them into the ground with some alpines, succulents and pebbles planted in between. We are happy to come and collect them.Please message me if you have anything suitable. Thank you.

We were very sad to discover that our last guests left The Lookout - the House with a View without bothering to close the front door.

You can always find somewhere interesting to walk especially along the beach, lanes or foreshore. We have had a really busy day. Lots of painting followed by digging out a base in order to extend the patio in the back garden. Back home now, fed and showered and relaxing. Aching muscles reminding us of our age but it was worth it!!

Barnes’s Rest Bed and Breakfast and Caravan Holidays

We have a newly renovated Victorian bed and breakfast Barnes’s Rest in Dorchester Road, Weymouth DT4 7LE. Our aim is to give you a relaxed stay.All of our rooms are en suites. We are able to cater for special diets eg vegetarian, diabetic, gluten free.We have free wi fi amd flat screen tvs. We can store bikes securely for cyclists. Parking is outside on the road and side roads , this is not a permit area.We are a short stroll away from Weymouth, 10 minutes walk from the Esplanade and Beach, but we are also on a direct bus route.

Barnes’s Rest Caravan D10 is situated at Wyke within Pebble Bank Caravan Park. All you need to provide is your bedding, duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels. The beautiful location is right beside the Fleet with walks to Chesil Beach and beyond. Between 6 - 8 people can use the caravan. There is a small pub/ restaurant on site The Fat Badger where you can buy meals throughout the day.

The Annex is a fully equipped self catering cottage at the back of our bed and breakfast. It sleeps 2 people in a double room with a lounge diner, bedroom , bathroom with shower over bath, washbasin and toilet, plus fully equipped kitchen. With shared use of the garden with our b and b guests this light and airy annex is ideal for your relaxing stay in Weymouth.

Lastly we have a fully equipped self catering holiday home “The Lookout” DT4 9BY which overlooks the Rodwell Trail and the Breakwater. With stunning views from Sandsfoot Castle and Sailing Club sweeping across the Breakwater, the National Sailing Academy , Portland and Chesil Beach. sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin on the first floor and 1 king in the attic. Parking is on the roadside and there are 2 garden areas to relax in. Ideal for windsurfers, cyclists, walkers and anyone who wants a relaxing holiday base in a central location.
