Explore the coastline steeped in Jurassic remains. Simply grab a Family Tracker Pack at the Old Coastguard Station, and hunt for fossils as the tide recedes. Don’t miss the rockpools for wildlife spotting! ⛏️🪨

Remember to fossil hunt responsibly:
• Look for fossils in loose beach material
• Only collect a small number
• Keep detailed records (what, where, when)
• Minimise hammering
• Avoid disturbing wildlife

From February 14th to March 2nd, 2025, this incredible celebration of our stunning night skies will feature exciting activities for all ages.

Join the fun with night runs, canoeing, astrophotography, stargazing, and more. The launch event takes place on February 13th with space scientist and broadcaster Dame Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, who will kick off the festival with her talk, "Reaching for the Stars – an exploration of the night sky" at Sneaton Castle in Whitby.🌌
