Vibrant hardy green moss in the ancient woodlands near Green End. It’s beautiful 🤩 There are thousands of moss species and they grow anywhere that plants can live. They love a drink and store water in their sponge like surface 💚. Enjoying nature at Green End Farm Cottages 😀

What at amazing day at Castle Howard this week. Such an incredible building with wonderful gardens.
There is a Tony Cragg contemporary sculpture exhibition on until 22nd Sept, which is well worth viewing. It’s only 45 mins from us here, so a perfect day out 🙂

If you are out and about this weekend stop for a moment and enjoy the pretty Hawthorn Blossom. This hard working tree attracts the pollinators such as bees and all the berries feed the birds too. Apparently it doesn’t smell too good as it as the flowers release a smelly chemical so leave it on the trees rather than in a vase in the kitchen.
