This circular walking trail takes in both the East and West side of Whitby and covers your 10.000 steps while you celebrate and commemorate links with famous people. There are 24 blue plaques giving a great starting point to finding out about our local heritage.

Are interested in finding out more about any of the people mentioned on the blue plaques?

The Whitby’s Blue Plaque Trail booklet giving details on each person commemorated, each of the plaque locations and a suggested walking route can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre, Whitby Museum and Whitby Civic Society events.
