I think we are ready for a new season at Sea Glimpse. We have 'spring cleaned' the apartment for the last 2 weekends, replacing anything remotely broken or damaged. It is definitely show house ready and smells of fresh linen with hints of anticipation for 24.

My new very trendy stainless steel time and tide clock is ordered from Denmark and the TV is 6 inches bigger than before - covertly placed a larger TV in (trying being crafty with a cardboard box bigger than a small terrace).

The drinks cupboard is stocked up and resembles the cellar Paul Copleys. If Robert Egan starts telling me he loves me at 3 am when he stops, I guess he may have found the Prosecco and my Whitby Gin.

For me, it is always about trying to improve the place, giving people a great time and representing good value. This manifests itself in me buying tech for the place which is always good quality but recognises the needs of my discerning guests.

My ethos is if you give people a great experience, they evangelise and come back.

Beach hut back and getting Sea Glimpse ready for the 17th May. Lots of trades people at Whitby and back and forth trips in readiness. Weather is turning next week and better turn up my Hive thermostat

This weekends’s customer is getting married tomorrow. I asked my lovely caretaker to buy a congratulations card and chill the bubbly. It’s those little touches that go a long way....

All weekends in beautiful Sea Glimpse are gone until mid December. My guests absolutely get the charm of beautiful Whitby in the Autumn.

Availability is now limited at Sea Glimpse with all weekends booked until the 29th November. This is coupled with no space until late September. No taking bookings for 20/20. Have the vision and book early !!

I discovered a beautiful beach 11 miles north of Whitby - Cattersty. It’s 2 miles of golden sands and well worth a look. There are no obvious facilities nearby but good for a picnic.

Clean apartment, comfy beds with everything you need for a short break away.
· Lovely little apartment that has everything you need for a relaxing short break away. Stone throw away from the beach down a cliff and you can see a 'glimpse' of the sea from the lounge window. Good communication with the owner and easy access and check out process. Apartment was clean on arrival and it was ready on time. Great base to stay for a couple or small family.
