One of the 2 sitting rooms in Grange Farm. There is also a large conservatory, dining room with seating for 14 and a log burner. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and we provide 2 (travel)cots and 2 high chairs as well as a baby changing mat. Parking for 4 cars.
Children love playing hid and seek in the house. We often welcome the same families year after year and look forward to meeting them again. The house can sleep a maximum of 10 people.

There is a petition going which effects the holiday let market in the UK, please sign it so it gets a proper debate in parliament.

Furnished Holiday Lets contribute a huge amount to local economies. They support jobs (cleaners, property managers, plumbers, etc.) and provide thousands of customers to local shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. We want the Government to reverse its plans to abolish the FHL tax regime.

Did you know that you can go whale watching in Whitby? During the summer months regular boat trips are organised. We went on one ourselves, and we were not disappointed, and saw lots of whales, as well as seals and gannets. Hoping to go again this year. Why not take your family whale watching and stay in Grange Farm Holiday Cottage in High Hawsker, only a 3 miles drive from Whitby.

On Thursday 15 February, during our , we are collaborating with Professor Carole Haswell, to host an accessible online lecture, to allow you to view our skies from your home 🔭 🌠

All money raised from this event will go towards the purchase of gilets which will be used by children experiencing a ‘night out under the stars’. This is part of the North York Moors National Parks ongoing engagement work, linking children from urban areas who would not normally have such an opportunity.

September is a nice month around Grange Farm, still lots of insects feeding on several plants. Some apples ripe ready to be eaten, juiced or cooked. More apples still ripening ready for the harvest next month. Lots of brambles in the hedgerows. The apples and the brambles make a wonderful combination for a crumble.

Returning to Whitby Harbour; an enjoyable boat trip, exploring the wildlife off the Yorkshire coast.

Lovely trip out of Whitby Harbour today with Whitby Coastal Cruises. We saw whales, seals, gannets, guillemots. Highly recommended.

The Heather on the North Yorkshire Moors is spectacular this year and there is a wonderful fragrance reminiscent of honey accompanying the grand views

If you love dramatic sea views, flower meadows, woodland and farmland vistas then the Trapper (all terrain mobility scooter) route from Ravenscar has it all.

If you or someone you know has any mobility issues, long term or temporary, then the Tramper gives you access to the countryside and the spectacular views over Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors.

At the Ravenscar Visitors Centre you can currently hire the Tramper. Sessions are currently only available on Fridays and you can book your place at www.outdoormobility.org/ravenscar
