Join us for a family adventure under the stars during half term! 🌙🌟

Explore the nocturnal wonders of Danby Lodge at our Park in the Dark event as part of the North York Moors Dark Skies 10th Festival on Wednesday 19 February between 5pm - 7pm.

Bring the whole family (recommended for ages 5+) for a twilight wander through the grounds, and if the skies are clear, stargazing with telescopes and local astronomy experts. Enjoy a warm bowl of soup and a roll as you embrace the wonders of the night which is included in the ticket price.

Join us for hands on fun for young space explorers! 🌜

Looking for a fun and creative way to learn about our dark skies? Join our cosmic crafting workshop during our 10th Dark Skies Festival.

Kids will get the chance to create their own planet with wool felting – a hands-on, ancient craft that’s as fun as it is educational at Sutton Bank or Danby Lodge National Park Centre.

Cosmic crafting awaits! 🌠

This February, join us for an out-of-this-world crafting adventure during our 10th Dark Skies Festival. Kids aged 6+ will learn the ancient art of wool felting and create their very own planet to celebrate our dark skies.

It’s hands-on, fun, and educational – perfect for crafters who are fascinated by space.

When? 15 and 23 February at Sutton Bank, 21 and 28 February at Danby Lodge, 11am-2pm
Cost: £3 per child
