30 years, the Centre has been at the heart of the town, opening it's doors to all. The Council have offered us the opportunity to buy the building, Whitstable has the chance to own a centre, run for its community, by its community, for years to come.

We are really proud to announce we are part of an important display at the Design Museum London.

This display showcases research projects that demonstrates how designers are rethinking and adapting their practice to confront environmental issues we face and work towards liveable futures.

Architect and designer Julia King explores ways to mitigate the impact of water pollution on the north Kent coast. We are really excited to be part of this important project and research.

The Future Observatory Display is on the second floor. It's on until the end of August. Please do let us know if you get a chance to visit.

Come along buy plants, eat cake and listen to my talk on drought tolerant planting. Plus take away an exclusive planting plan so that you can try out what you have learned at home!

What a great way to support and the valuable work they do in our community!

Our Easter beach clean has been going on for 32 minutes โ€ฆand this paraphernalia has been picked up from one groyne area right by the tide line - so next high tide it would have been washed outโ€ฆ
We would love to think this has been an oversight โ€ฆ.but please, if anyone used the beach yesterday and left this, you can pick it up from us. Otherwise, we will take it to a local charity shop. Thanks

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ this week is a bit of a call for help. January is always a difficult time for Food Banks with lower donations and high demand. Coupled with the cold weather has seen our stocks take quite a hit.

We are running very (very) low on the staples;

Baked beans
Tinned vegetables (peas and carrots)
Tins of soup
Tinned spaghetti
Pasta sauces
Jam/peanut butter
Tins of tuna

You can help by;

1) Donating something in your local supermarket

2) Donating financially via our website https://canterburyfoodbank.org/donating/

3) Sharing this post amongst your own circle of friends to spread the message.

Thank you for the support and please email [email protected] if you have any questions. Thank you ๐Ÿ™
