The Final farewell a huge Thank you to each and every one of you in John O Groats from day one you made me feel so welcome, I can’t believe I am leaving but never good bye I will see you soon.

To all my team you are the best and with out you the place would be a mess you work so tirelessly and each and every guest appreciated it. Thank you for the send off yesterday after it was perfect!

A thank you to Andrew,Sally,Geoff and Tracy and too all the flowers and card were lovely and means so much.

Toilet update!

Good morning all sadly the toilet delay continues we did swop the usage around as ladies use the toilets more than men, but sadly even the signs were ripped down and removed.

So ladies until the new toilets arrive there is only TWO toilets functioning for your usage I am sorry!

Soap dispensers are currently still attached to the wall 😁 but sadly another toilet roll dispenser sir-come to being ripped off the wall!

I sadly won’t get to see the full refit when it finally comes for these toilets as the General Manager for Together Travel holiday site I am leaving in less than 4 weeks. I must admit these last 4 years have been an absolute pleasure and I thank each and every business for welcoming me I know there was the odd you will only last (6 months 🤣) but I have loved being here so much it’s going to be extremely sad to leave. John O Groats is a lovely friendly place and everyone works so hard to improve visitors experience. So I would like to thank

Public toilets in John O Groats

Just a quick up date !! Unfortunately due to a maintenance issue there is a delay with getting the toilets back to normal.. so for now there will only be two toilets available in the gents to use and also the disabled. I know this is not the best but we have had to order 6 new toilets to replace the old ones.

We will be replacing new soap dispensers this morning in all the toilets again so fingers crossed these are not broken/damaged again.

Due to the sheer mess left in the toilets at John O Groats today I have had NO choice but to close them over night tonight!! No one deserves to have to clean that up I was totally shocked that someone would leave such a mess… the caravan site has the facilities..

Please can I ask if you need soap to wash there is a small shop at the caravan park and a post office with a shop at the top of the road stop ripping the holders off the wall as they are constantly getting damaged and are unusable for others.

I will reopen them at 8am for the ferry!

Delay !! Delay

Firstly I would like to apologise for this late post the WiFi was just refusing to let me load!!

The public toilets in John O Groats unfortunately are as you know having some maintenance work carried out on them.. we have replaced the tiles behind the toilets to make them more hygienic.. the toilets then were to be reattached sadly they had other ideas and now have to be replaced, apart from two of them. I know it’s not we want to here but we will have some toilets available for all to use..

So going forward temporarily fingers crossed it will only be another week !

Ladies will be using the LEFT SIDE of the toilet block and the GENTS the right including the disabled. This weekend to help visitors and reduce confusion there will be an attendant !

Car park Machine

This topic has been brought to my attention a few times this afternoon and evening with visitors asking me why it’s broken!

The machines are fully working it’s just sometimes they freeze due to low connectivity or visitors pulling thier card out too soon.

Hi all. On Saturday 24th June there will be the RNLI Harbour Day commencing 1.30pm. We will be running short 20 minute boat trips around the harbour and into Wick Bay. Cost is adults £11 and children under 16 £8. Sailings at 1.30, 2.10, 3.30 and 4.10pm.

UPDATE !!!!

The PUBLIC TOILETS in JOHN O GROATS are having some URGENT ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORK !!! Please be aware the GENTS TOILETS are being used for the LADIES ONLY and the DISABLED is being used for the GENTS /DISABLED USE!!!

Could I please ask all visitors to be respectful to the contractor he is working his hardest to get this done and is unfair he is being verbally abused!
