We love watching the annual return of the regular groups of Whooper swans and greylag geese - travelling from breeding grounds in Iceland to our Caithness fields. Whoopers are largely site faithful and return to the same communal winter Rooster Savaget each night.

Word of warning for anyone 'thinking' of coming to Scotland in 2025.......we have have had a deluge of bookings......what am I saying....well if you are 'thinking' about it whether it is with us or anyone else - do book now or asap, otherwise you risk a chance of not getting the accommodation or tours you really want.
Bookings are up, and bookings are early!

To our good friends and followers,
Our page and linked pages were 'hacked' a day or so ago.
We have gone through the sheer panic of not having access to our info and our friends 'details' and now are in the process of reinstating accounts.
If something does seem like me it may not be (ie friends photos populated with strange faces, and weird 'likes' etc etc....even down to following a multi page post daily of cooking 'recipes' )- now you'll know, that seriously would not be me - Ross yes, me no!!!

Out on a tour yesterday, and a lovely guest asked about our holiday destination choices. That made me think for a few seconds at least!! This is one we really cherish ........ out on the ski mobiles in the snow clad forests around Rovaniemi in Lapland! Christmas would never be the same again!
