Hello - My name is Michelle and I started my own business in December 2021. I have worked in the travel industry for 20years, initially as an apprentice for a small Independent travel agency in Gidea Park. I then went on to work for Sandals and Beaches Resorts and then tackled the corporate world working for various Travel Management companies. I decided to take the leap in 2021 and become self em

ployed to get that work/life balance and to be able to be around for the school runs, nativities, appointments etc so I joined the Travel Counsellors Franchise to continue doing a job I love. Travel Counsellors was founded in 1994 and has over 2000 self employed Travel agents (our head office is based in Manchester), we have our own clients and run our business how we choose fit but with the support of our head office. We have access to IT support, direct contract suppliers and great booking tools. We are ATOL bonded and have our own financial trust meaning all finances are 100percent protected. - This does also mean that I only get paid once a trip has been and gone. You may ask but why use a travel agent in the day and age of the Internet when you can do everything online? The past few years have taught us a lot, so many people were let down by travel providers, with not getting the support they needed and refunds that were due back. Booking a package with a Travel Agent gives you that added level of protection, many Travel Counsellors worked so many hours unpaid during the pandemic getting people home, amending trips, refunding clients – and this level of support is not forgotten. When a booking is made with me I will be with you every step of the way without having to hang on to a call centre and being able to speak to a human when ever you need support. I will create a document pack for you, check you in online, check any entry requirements and make sure that your passports are all valid. I will be on hand via Whatsapp whilst you are in resort if you need any assistance at all and will provide a personal service. All itineraries I offer are bespoke tailor made suiting you and your requirements with access to direct contracts and destination management companies based in the countries that you are visiting. I can also book packages with the likes of Jet2 Holidays, Easyjet Holidays and other Tour operators. I am also trained in arranging business trips so am able to help with any of your companies travel arrangements. My day on the Disney Dream ✨️🚢

I have been on many cruise ships, but none have blown my mind like the Disney Dream did. Everyone knows how much I love Disney, but this version of Disney is subtly magic with every little detail thought of.

What surprised me even more is that there were many older sailors without children travelling. This is due to the subtle hints of Disney and the amazing adults only section!

🚢Did you know that Disney had to obtain special authorisation from the Coast Guard to have yellow life boats? 🚢

What did I love about my experience on the Disney Dream?

✨️ Every guest that steps on board the ship will get a special introduction like royalty stepping into a ballroom!

✨️ All announcements follow a Disney tune

✨️ Disney music plays throughout

✨️ Characters wander around the ship, and you are most likely to have a character encounter with more of your favourites than you would do in a Disney Park

✨️ Disney is not in your face at all and is elegantly subtle

✨️ There are 3 kids clubs -
Oceaneers Club and Lab - from 3yrs to 10yrs
Edge - from 11 to 14 years
Vibe - from 14 to 17 years
These kids' clubs are amazing and will entertain the kids for hours

✨️ There is also an It's a Small World nursery for babies chargeable for a fee

✨️ The theatre is amazing and is where you will catch your west end style shows

✨️ You will experience rotational dining so you can dine at least once at all included restaurants on board

✨️ An amazing spa

✨️ A huge adults only area with a pool, coffee bar, 2 restaurants, pink champagne bar, and many other bars

✨️ Although you won't find any rides on board you will find one flume called Aqua duck, which takes you around the whole ship.

✨️ We experienced a lovely buffet lunch in Cabanas with amazing desserts 🍨

In summary, this is a multi generational holiday where all ages can really enjoy their time, whether it is soaking up Disney or enjoying some r'n'r in the adults only section

Meet the person behind this small business ⬇️

I am Michelle, and I am your travel concierge, agent... whatever you would like to know me as 🙂, and I am a small business owner.

I have been in the travel industry for 22 years and have a wide range of experience. For the past 3 years, I have been running my own business under the Travel Counsellors franchise. I chose to become self-employed for a number of reasons - the main one being to have the flexibility to work around my 2 children while still doing a job that I love.

This is my full-time job (and isn't a job that you can really do on the side purely for the fact of being able to be there for my customers as and when they need me), and I love this career.

I can book a wide range of different trips from city breaks to tailor-made bespoke trips to business trips. The list is endless. I am also able to book with well-known tour operators like Jet2 holidays, TUI, and Jet2.

As I am self-employed, I do not get paid for any research or hours spent putting together trips, but I do get paid by suppliers once a trip has been and gone.

As a business owner, my attention to detail is second to none, and I really care about my customers and the service I am providing. I am there with my customers from that initial planning stage until they return home, and I love hearing about their adventures

Let's talk passports ✈️

When planning your holiday, questions you should be asking yourself are....

✔️ Is my passport in date? Many countries require at least 3 or 6 months on your passport on your exit date from the country you are visiting

✔️ Do I have more than 10 years of validity? It used to be the case that if you renewed your passport, any extra months will be added to your passport - new UK passports will now only be valid for 10 years and the majority of European countries will not allow entry if your passport is valid for more than 10 years!

✔️ Do I have enough blank pages? Some countries require at least 2 blank pages in your passport to enter

✔️ Have I been anywhere which will now restrict me from visiting certain countries? An example of this will be Cuba and America.

✔️ Is my passport damaged in any way? You will be refused entry with a damaged passport

Part of my all inclusive service is to check all of these questions for you, I ask all customers to send me copies of their passports so I can make sure all is valid making no room for error!
