🇮🇹 Milan & Lake Como 🇮🇹
I am back in work this morning after my holiday to Italy! I will be working my way through enquires and messages and be in touch today with anyone that has messaged.

Tickets for the rest of august bookings will be getting sent out over the next week or so & I have another busy month of departures! Lots of families going away in the summer holidays for the well deserved break ✈️

We spent 2 Nights / 3 Days in Milan and done a full day trip to Lake Como whilst there. We stayed close to central station for ease with the public transport and this worked well for us when getting around the city, for our trains to Lake Como and a direct bus from Bergamo Airport.

🇮🇹 My Perosnal Recommendations 🇮🇹
⛪️ Visit the Duomo & many rooftop bars / restaurants around there with views over the main piazzo.
I would recommend Terrazza Aperol Bar for cocktails with lovely views 🍹

🛍️ Milan is a great place to go shopping with everything from your high street shops to all of the designer brands. Visit Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for a window shop! It’s also known to bring you good luck in you spin 3 times on the bull in the galleria 🐂🤞

🧖‍♀️ We spent our last day at the QC Terme Milano which was a lovely way to relax after a busy few days! It has many different spa rooms inside and then outside has a range of pools / jacuzzis & even a cold plunge pool. There’s loungers which was lovely to have a relaxing sunbathe when in the city!

🛥️ Lake Como Day Trip - Take the early train from Milan Central to Varenna in Lake Como. From here you can buy a all day pass for the ferries for €15 and you can visit multiple towns around the lake. We visited Bellagio, Mennagio & Varenna. Personally my favourite was Mennagio but all the towns were stunning. We got the train back from Varenna around sunset back into Milan

🚃 Visit the Navigli neighbourhood in Milan which has canals running through it and is possible to take a gondela ride or boat trip down them. This area is lined with bars / restaurants and colourful buildings.

🇹🇷 Ovacik, Olu Deniz & Hisaranu 🇹🇷

We have spent a week staying at M***a Verde Hotel in Ovacik which is a 3* Bed & Breakfast. The hotel is lovely for a 3* and is very clean. Location wise it’s about 15 minute walk from Hisaranu where there is lots more going on with shops, bars & restaurants. Ovacik is more chilled vibe with plenty of choice of restaurants and family friendly bars. If you want to go down to the beach you’ve got Olu Deniz beach about a 10 min taxi away. Taxis are cheap in the area and readily available wherever you are.

Restaurant Recommendations
🍽️ İzela Restaurant - This was our favourites and is around a 10 minute taxi from Ovacik. Located in Kayakoy it’s in a lovely garden setting and the food was so good we ended up going back again during our holiday. I highly reccomend the steak here! It is more on the expensive side to other restaurants in town but worth it! I would say the prices are similar to a nice restaurant at home we paid roughly £24 for surf & turf! 🥩🍤

🍽️ 1700 Babadag Restaurant - Again a favourite of ours and a must whilst you’re on holiday in the area! Take the cable car up Babadağ mountain which costs roughly £10pp for a return trip. I would recommend booking a sunset view table on the edge in advance. The views are amazing and whilst dining you can watch the paragliders taking off. The food was really nice and again similar price to restaurants at home. 🪂

🍽️ Baracuda Restaurant - This one is between Ovacik & Hisaranu and walking distance from both. We really enjoyed our meal here and was really good value for money.

Activity Recommendations
🪂 Paragliding off Babadag Mountain is an absolute must! One of the best things I done and the views are amazing! The flight is around 30 mins and you have views over olu deniz, blue lagoon and the mountains around. Paragliding cost around £125 then £25 extra for the photos / videos.

🛥️ There are so many different boat trips on offer from huge pirate ships, party boats, smaller sailing boats and private hire speedboats. Some of the trips go from olu deniz and some from Fethiye. We chose to hire a speed boat with captain from Olu Deniz beach for 2 hours to explore around the coast like and have some swim stops. The speed boat could have up to 8 on and I’d highly recommend this for couples or groups of friends / families. Take your own drink and it’s a more luxury way of doing a boat trip! I have a contact I can recommend for this.

👻 Ghost Town & Fethiye Market - we done this as a trip but wouldn’t recommend as it was to long in the places and both are easy enough to get cheap taxis to and then do at your own leisure. Fethiye market was cheap but the quality of things there wasn’t very good and much better in the shops in Hisaranu.

🧖‍♀️ There are so many places for your beauty needs & spa treatments! We decided to get the Turkish Bath, Body Scrub & Massage in the hotels spa and it was lovely!

Some tips if visiting this area of Turkey -
💷 Take English cash it’s accepted everywhere we were getting a rate of 40 lira to the £. Most restaurants accept card as well.

🏧 Use ING cash machines as this is the one without a % charge and we found got us the best conversion. Always press continue without conversion and let your bank do it for you!

We weren’t quite ready for home so we have extended our holiday an extra few nights and are now staying in Lara Beach in an all inclusive hotel I’ve had many customers to recently 🇹🇷 it’s a great family favourite hotel so I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like for my customers ☺️ I will be back in work on Monday 24th June!

❗❗ Manchester Airport Travel Update ❗❗

If you are travelling by Car to Manchester Airport within the upcoming weeks / months. Then please make yourself familiar with the latest news shared and to ensure you allow enough time.

National Highways are carrying out essential overnight resurfacing works on both sides of the M56 between Junction 4 and Junction 7. Works are due to start on Monday 10th June and completed by August 2024. Closures will take place between 21:00 and 05:00, Monday to Friday and extending to 07:00 on Saturdays. This will include a mix of overnight closures and slip closures.

Signed diversion routes will be in place. Delays are expected, please allow extra time for your journeys.

This weekend I am away in the van! Last night was spent at coniston and we were treated to an amazing Aurora display!! 😍😍

Many people travel abroad to see the northern lights including me when I went to Lapland in January but didn’t see them!

This is my second time seeing an Aurora display in the lakes ✨🤩 it was always something on my bucket list and last nights display was amazing.

Ellie and Finn were very lucky on there flight out to Larnaca yesterday winning a set of return flights with EasyJet ✈️🥳

Our largest airline easyJet is celebrating carrying 50 million passengers to & from Liverpool since they started flying from here on 27th October 1997 with their first flights to Geneva, Amsterdam and Nice. Congratulations to Ellie Jeffrey and Finn Graham from near Carlisle who were flying to Larnaca, who easyjet surprised with free return flights to mark the occasion.

💛 Customer Notice 💛
Firstly I would like to thank everyone for keeping me so busy! I love helping you plan and book your well deserved holidays ✈️

Now we are coming into the busier holiday period I have lots travelling over the next few weeks. All tickets up until 16th may have now been posted out and any customers travelling from 17th may - until 26th may your tickets will be sent out before next Monday (29th April)

I am going to be out of office for a week from Tuesday 30th April until Tuesday 7th May 😄 I am off to Paphos in Cyprus as I was lucky enough to be rewarded with a stay at the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel ☀️ these opportunities would not be possible without the support I receive from all my customers! I’m looking forward to experiencing the hotel and exploring paphos as it will be my first time to Cyprus!

As a reminder my working days are Monday - Friday. Any enquiry messages & admin will be picked up on a Monday morning that’s sent over a weekend 😊

I get lots of messages to both my personal and business Facebook / Insta pages so again as a friendly reminder to help me manage these please can these be sent to my business pages as this is what I check throughout the day.
