First off we do a FREE detailed inspection of your lawn to determine its condition, the ph value of the subsoil, the condition and quantity of the lawn and type of w**ds. There may be areas under tress that have moss, there may be areas with a high acid content to the soil, or there is a build-up of thatch that needs attention. Soils vary even in a small location and can require different treatment. How much do you charge? Jigsaw lawn care are extremely competitive on price. It would probably cost you more to buy the fertiliser or moss killer, than it costs to employ Jigsaw lawn care to provide the whole service. Can treatment be undertaken in the winter? Yes, in fact most golf courses see the winter period as the most important time of the year to get the basics right. December to March, depending on weather conditions we carry out, Aeration and Scarification. If you have ever tried to do this yourself, you will know how hard it is, and if you have a lawn of more than 100 sq. meters you will know what we mean. In fact it is one of those jobs that can easily be left alone by the home owner due to the arduous nature of the work. Let Jigsaw lawn care take the strain and get your lawn into a good condition. The winter treatment doesn't leave the lawn looking pretty, but it provides the basis for future treatments and work by Jigsaw lawn care in the spring, summer and autumn, when you will certainly see the results GUARANTEED. Everyone talks about a Guarantee, what assurance do I have that what you recommendations will work? Jigsaw lawn care only charge for what we have done on a pay as we go basis. We can also arrange for a monthly payment plan, however if something goes wrong we will fix it, at no additional cost. If you decide to end the arrangement then we can stop as and when required. (If you are on a payment plan, this can be stopped so long as the cost of treatments has been covered)
We don't want a contract, we want you to be happy with the treatments we have given, and for you to want us to continue with our work, rather than relying on a contract. So what are the services Jigsaw lawn care provide? We split the year into quarters which roughly means a treatment every three months or so. Climate change is altering things so we may not recommend all four treatments due to weather and climate so the following is a general overview. Our service for you will be tailored to the needs of your lawn and can change annually with the climate. SPRING TREATMENT MARCH - MAY
A granular fertiliser with a higher nitrogen content with low levels of phosphates and potash to get your lawn started for the season. We will also treat broad leaf w**ds with herbicide to kill off the w**ds such as Daises, Dandelions, Buttercups and clover. EARLY SUMMER TREATMENT MAY - JULY
A special mixture of dry fertiliser to stimulate the development of the grass, followed by a sprayed treatment to deal with any w**ds. We shall select the appropriate herbicide for that. Equally we will treat the lawn with appropriate feed if the weather is hot and dry then we shall amend the treatment to our 'Dry Weather' application. LATE SUMMER TREATMENT JULY - SEPTEMBER
A slow release compound to maintain the vigour of the grass with a release of regulated levels of potash and phosphates. This application will also include a herbicide for the more stubborn w**ds. AUTUMN WINTER TREATMENT SEPTEMBER - MARCH

So what's so different about Jigsaw lawn care? We have been providing this service with gardening and grounds maintenance for large developments between Preston and Birmingham for the last decade. If we create green waste, as scarifying does, unlike most other companies we will remove this from site, rather than clog up your green bin! We have a licence to tip Green Waste from the Environment Agency. For our Lawn Care clients we are able to provide other gardening services, like cutting lawns pruning and garden tidy either on a regular basis or just as and when required, when you are on holiday for instance. All our staff are fully trained in what they do, we do not employ anyone unless we have received a clean CRB check, so we and you can have confidence in the integrity of all our staff. They wear a uniform and arrive in a marked van, and carry ID so you know who you are dealing with. We have a fully documented Health and Safety policy, and all spraying is carried out by fully qualified staff who hold a licence to spray, herbicides and w**d killers.
