It's often hard to prove that being a Walkers are Welcome town has made a difference to the economy of Winchcombe, but this weekend we got some proof. On this grey November weekend we've bumped into people from Yorkshire, Cumbria and Manchester who have all attended our May walking festival in the past. They have fallen in love with Winchcombe and come back, often out of the main tourist season, stay in the town and spend money in our businesses.
