Over the bank holiday weekend (Friday 3 May to Monday 6 May), Jack in the Green also returns with lots of fun for the whole family. There will be Morris dancing, a grand procession, drum off, concerts and much more to enjoy.

Giving our thirsty Heritage Steam Locomotive "Northiam" some water at Northiam Station today before its return journey to Tenterden.
We are open this weekend 27th and 28th April so come along and see how our Heritage Railway works🚂.

Here is what our recent guests had to say about their holiday at Stoats Holiday Home Rye😊...... We really enjoyed our stay! The house is comfortably furnished and super equipped: we cooked for eight people every evening and found everything you could need in the kitchen (hand mixer, casserole dishes, good pans, pots, enough dishes, etc.). Washing machine is also available. The house is well located and there are many beautiful excursion destinations in the area. The contact with the landlords was very nice. So everything was wonderful - thank you!!

Why not try a new activity during your holiday at Stoats? Live the dream of rolling around on sand powered by a kite on the famous Camber Sands Beach…. So much fun!

Kitebuggying and landboarding are fantastically exhilarating sports perfect for adults and children (8+) alike, and is also great for those wanting to try out kitesports without heading into the water. Using a powerkite, the wind and a three-wheeled buggy, you can whizz along miles of Camber’s flat, sandy beach at up to 50mph. Learning to kite buggy is much easier than you might imagine, so if you’re looking for a short activity which is fun for all ages and abilities – kite buggying is a brilliant option! If you’d like a bit more of a challenge, why not try landboarding? Just ask your instructor at the beginning of the lesson to try it out!

Give wingboarding a go!
Our 3hour intro lesson is a fun, rapid progression session designed to cover the fundamentals of wingsports and get you riding.

Wingsurfing, wingfoiling and wingboarding are the latest sports in the wind sports industry and have caught the eye of kitesurfers, windsurfers and paddle boarders alike as the idyllic crossover sport to extend their access to fun. Whether you’re coming into wing sports from one of the aforementioned sports or you’re coming into them from zero experience, wingsurfing and wingboarding are quick to learn and in our Intro to Wingboarding lessons, we’ll have you controlling the wing and cruising around in no time.

* Introduction to wingboarding, theory and safety briefing

Open Garden: Daffodil Delights
Thursday 14 March 10am - 4pm

Daffodil’s heralds spring and there is no better reason to visit Fairlight Hall than to admire the bulbs and blossom.

Come and see the daffodil plantings across the site. It’s not just about the daffodils. Early flowering dogwood, cherry blossom, hellebores and camellias can all be seen in their finest.

Visit our shepherds hut shop to buy early flowering perennials or bulbs and pop into our pop up café for a cake and a coffee.

We are so lucky to have this place on our doorstep !

Mostly seen around the Castle Water area of the reserve at this time of year, some of the wintering Stonechat are starting to show themselves, with several seen today at the western end of the reserve.

A mixed weather day today meant staff in our Lime Kiln Cafe were in the best place possible to capture this River Rother rainbow this afternoon!

Coffee, cake, a saltmarsh plus a river view and a rainbow too, there's something to enjoy here whatever the weather!
