2024! We have arrived and hopefully for another incredible year of opportunities! I hope you are all refreshed and back in an routine after Christmas - I’m slowly getting there!

For my first post of the year, I wanted to share with you a dog collar and lead I made in 2020 - which I have never publicly shared! 🤯

And why didn’t I share it?

I was ashamed and embarrassed by what I had made as I felt it wasn’t good enough.

So I’m ripping that band aid off this year and changing that crappy mindset by saying…

“I made this - It has it’s flaws and it was my first attempt.

“But nothing in life is perfect - nothing in life is how you want it first time round. There are always ways to improve.”

“Yes it broke whilst my friend walked her dog, but it was a prototype.”

“I’m not going to strive for perfectionism as this leads to procrastination.”

“Instead I’m going to strive for 70% contentment, ensure I finish my projects and share them with you regardless of the outcome.”

2024 for me is about facing my fears and pushing myself out my comfort zone. Not to be embarrassed and ashamed. It’s all perfectly imperfect 🧡

✨ Hygge ✨

Pronounced ‘hoo-ga,’ It’s not a thing. It’s a feeling… a truly wonderful feeling.

Everyone’s idea of Hygge is different, but it’s all about the atmosphere you are in and the experience you are having. Being with the people you love, the feelings of home, feeling safe and warm.

In danish ‘Kaffehygge’ means coffee and Hygge which is 100% my perfect way to experience Hygge.

My perfect Hygge moment is on my own, in my lounge whilst it’s cold wet and windy outside. 💨 🌧️ I often light a candle and then I sit down with a flat white coffee and biscuits, (malted milks are my go to 👌🏼) and do my favourite puzzle 🧩

Happy Sunday!

Here’s a little throw back to my first Christmas item I ever made! ⭐️ I’m thinking of creating more of these this year in other colours 😍

I planned on doing a few Christmas markets this year, but sadly I decided to pull out of them, I’m now questioning whether I should have done or not, but I suppose at the time I felt it was the right thing to do!

Lots of changes are happening over the next few months, specifically finding a new job which was very unexpected… so I’m going to be taking it easy on the macrame front.

I will be taking Christmas orders and I’m going to be making loads of Christmas coasters, candy canes and trees for a big order so watch this space for some festive goodness! 😊

I’m a sucker for bright colours, but this combo of beige and natural has got me feeling all autumnal!

The lovely couple over at ordered these as a gift for a family member to go in their caravan! Such a cute little addition! 😊

They are constantly creating awareness around mental health through their amazing clothing, social media, podcasts and now a book!

They have both helped me more than they will ever know and for that, I am eternally grateful 🤍

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the slightly colder days 🍂

As I write this I’m snuggled on the sofa with a cup of tea and in my pjs - its the perfect Sunday! It’s been a while since I’ve actually managed to relax and have some time for me!

I’ve been away from social media and macrame for the last couple of months. I needed some time away from my craft as I was finding I was enjoying it less and I was putting too much pressure on myself to “make something of it.” The mindset I got myself in wasn’t sustainable nor healthy. But I’ve reset and I’m taking it slow 😊
Also, I’ve been working on something in the background which I can’t share with you all just yet! But that’s been my main focus 😊

I have also been suffering a lot cognitively, weird urges, ticks and impulsive actions, struggling to process information and focus. I went to the doctors and they seem to think that because I am now doing Cross Fit, I have too much serotonin in my body! Which means after 6 years they want me to come off / reduce my anti depressants!! Both very scary and exciting!

So as we jump into this new season of new experiences and opportunities, I thought I’d share one of my favourite pictures of me from this summer on a trip to Kew Gardens.

A new month, a new product!

It’s been a while since I’ve picked up my cord as I’ve been working on other things in the background 😊

But tonight, I sat down to make myself something as I havnt managed to switch off recently. Oh, I’ve missed knotting.

After a week away in Cornwall, my soul feels nourished and my mind clear. 🧡(Finally) It was soooo lovely! Lots of swimming, ice-cream and fresh fish was had, along with laughter and lots of memories made.

Now that I am in a happy positive mindset, I want to do as much as I can to make sure it stays that way! As of today, I’ve created some daily habits which is going to help me on my journey to living a fulfilled life. I used to meditate and journal on occasions and I miss how great it made me feel. Seriously it made me feel so so good and I stopped.. why? I don’t know!

So today is day 1 of starting these again along with some other things!

- Journalling / gratitude journal
- Meditation
- Affirmations (the ones for this week are in the image 😊)
- Read

Happy Friday!! Ah…finally - I’m on a little vacation for a week to Cornwall and Bristol! Works been manic so this down time is very much needed!

Matts side of the family live in Cornwall and we are heading down for some sun, sea and copious amounts of pasties! 🦭 🌊 We will also be celebrating a big birthday with some good food and wine. 💃

Bristol will be a few days with just Matt, it’s been over 5 years since we’ve been away together. 😢 lots of mini golf, sightseeing and coffee will be had. 🥰

I… can… not… wait!

Super grateful for this weather at the moment, I definitely thought the rainy weather was here to stay 🥴

A few weeks ago, the very talented and I did a 6 hour photoshoot of all my lovely coasters! It was a huge macrame project for which I am yet to share the full story! (I’ll share it soon I promise!)

Brad absolutely loves photography and videography and between the two of us, it’s safe to say we are perfectionists!

The seas have been very choppy my end and I got a little lost for a while, sounds became unbearable and my window of tolerance was caving in. But, I became aware and I can now see the shore - very faint in the distance . I’m nearly back home where I belong.

Sometimes it’s so easy to forget about yourself and before you know it, you are wondering what happened and how you got to this point.

This is just a gentle reminder to slow down and check in with yourself and keep yourself on track 🧡

Move aside coasters and let’s welcome Alfie! The new air plant hanger! 🌱

This cute little air plant hanger is perfect way to jazz up your car or even hang it off of a window or door handle in your home.

It can come in any colours you like and INCLUDES the air plant!! Yes that’s right - plant is included! 🪴 😍🙌🏻 (I will include a care card too for your plant!)

All of my plants at home have names and Matt said that this little fella was either an Alfie or a Sully, so I went with Alfie! 😂 🤷‍♀️

START THE DAY 🛌 🫖

So how I start the day and how I want to start the day are very VERY different.

How I want to start my mornings: Wake at 5am, mediate, affirmations, go for a run, come back make a coffee and read or do some self development work. Go to work at 8am.

How I actually start my day: alarm at 6am, then 6:10, then 6:20. I get out of bed at 7am but only because if I don’t, I don’t get a kiss from Matt before he goes to work! I make a tea, get ready for work and go. Still rubbing my eyes as I walk in the door.

I am TERRIBLE at getting out of bed and any less than 8/9 hours sleep I really struggle.
