My Dad made this driftwood mirror around 20 years ago and it sits pride of place in the lounge opposite the log burner. He collected bits of wood from South Shields beach that had washed up on shore. I still love it today as much as I did back then.

Meet our latest addition to Ananda House - he resides on our kitchen window sill. But - HE NEEDS A NAME. These gorgeous little animals are locally crafted and sold in the town. Be rude not to have one. What do you reckon? Humphrey was the first name that came to mind (don't ask me why)!! Any better suggestions??

Believe it or not - this fantastic place is at the end of our street! School Knot is a range of hills where you can walk to the top in as little as 20 minutes. This photo was taken today by the little tarn. Best thing is .... not many people know about this place, so it's calm, serene and quiet.
