Timewaif & the Roman Road is an interesting story because it gives a different perspective on what it’s like to grow up. Tim seems like he’s small, but when he goes back in time he realises that he can do whatever he wants to, if he puts his mind to it. He realises nobody is holding him back but himself. I love the message and I love reading it.

Our amazing owner, Deb Lyon, is publishing her very first novel this weekend! “Timewaif & The Roman Road”. We couldn’t be more proud of her and her incredible accomplishment.

Written for children aged 9-13 plus, the story takes place in our very own Lake District. Where a boy named Tim falls back in time through an enchanted hopscotch board to Roman Cumbria and embarks on a series of adventures that challenge his resilience and wits.
