Another happy visitor - TS: Exceeded Expectations

Comment: Rowan Lodge was exactly as we expected, cosy and with everything we needed. Loved the fact we got to see deer, badgers and all sorts from the lodge too

SE: "We've stayed in Rowan Lodge numerous times now, we love the location as tucked away at the back by the woods and get to see the wildlife. We prefer the more traditional log cabin . Limefitt is such a great location and recommend food at The Mortal Man and Queens hotel which both have footpaths from the park so you can walk there in minutes. We will definitely return as our son loves it there."

Someone else had a good holiday - always pleased to hear: The lodge was fantastic. The on site shop and pub were a slight let down as very small and food wasn't brilliant. But the actual park and the views and accommodation were all amazing.

Another happy visitor: It was only my second time staying at Rowan Lodge and it already feels like my home from home. The lodge is ideally located on the end of a road, which means there's lots of green space and trees beside and behind it, and the view of the hills from the living room is lovely, especially when the doors are open. The lodge is kitted out with everything we need, including a bath and a kitchen, and the sofas are comfortable. Limefitt Park is quiet and our dogs love the dog park which is in a beautiful location and where they can go off-lead. There are lots of beautiful walks and day-trips within close proximity, and we'd recommend Chesters By The River's doughnuts and lunches as a top favourite! Overall we were extremely happy with Rowan Lodge and had a second amazing holiday there. We hope to return again.

A very nice review: 2nd stay at Rowan Lodge and we love this beautiful area so much we have booked a 3rd stay. Lovely cosy lodge tucked away in a quiet corner of the park, regularly visited by the local wildlife which we enjoyed watching. Ideally placed for getting out and about and found the park staff very helpful. All that you might need,Internet available, TV (not that we turned it on). Used the facilities to cook most nights and enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a cuppa in the morning. Thank you, this break in the lakes was just what was needed x

Fingers crossed that we will be open in April - I will update when I know for sure. Lots of people will be looking forward to a visit to the Lake District!
