💂🏻♀️ For the rest of August Guard Change will take place every Tuesday*, Thursday and Saturday mornings. The 1st Battalion Welsh Guards are on duty this month, with musical support, as follows for the Guard Change ceremony:
Sat 17th Band of the Household Cavalry
*Tues 20th No marching - private ceremony within Castle
Thurs 22nd Band of the Grenadier Guards
Sat 24th Band of the Household Cavalry
Tue 27th Band of the Grenadier Guards
Thurs 29th Band of the Irish Guards
Sat 31st Band of the Irish Guards
💂There are plenty of fantastic vantage points from the Victoria Barracks at Sheet Street, along the High Street, past Windsor Guildhall (a great viewing point is on the Corn Exchange under the Guildhall) and up Castle Hill, past Victoria Statue.
💂🏻♀️We recommend that you arrive and are in position by 10.45am to watch the ‘new guard’ march up from the barracks and into the Castle, and in position by 11.15am to see the ‘old guard’ retiring from duty and return to Victora Barracks.
💂🏻♀️ The actual Guard Change Ceremony takes place at 11am within the Castle Quadrangle, so you will need an entrance ticket to the Castle to enjoy this part. Ticket details are below.
