Got to love a hedgehog at the door... Last week one was rootling around in the wellies.
They're fast when they want to be. We disturbed this one when we went out to close up, but when it came out of it's ball shape it certainly scampered off.

We're growing next year's butterflies! We won't be pulling up these nettles just yet. But we did cut them earlier in the summer, so these caterpillars are thriving on the regrowth. Cropping your nettles can be a way to help late summer species.
