🌟 A Rare Break for Us at Lower Whitsleigh Farm! 🌟

After an incredible year, we treated ourselves to a magical 3-day escape to Sweden—and what a time we had! While the Northern Lights eluded us, we packed in so much fun:
✨ Sledging and making snow angels with the kids
✨ Meeting reindeer (although mine decided to gallop off—Rudolf, is that you?)
✨ Husky sledging through snow-dusted landscapes
✨ Trying our hand (and balance!) at cross-country skiing

2024 was a whirlwind year at the farm! We welcomed a record number of guests to our award-winning holiday lets:

What a truly lovely Christmas Eve 🎄 Thanks so much for allowing Andy and myself at from Whitsleigh Farm Cottage holiday let and Daphne & Delilah our two rescue donkeys who were dumped on a road in Leicestershire to visit the incredible staff, patients, and families at Children's Hospice South West.

The work you do, the care you provide, and the very essence of your charity are nothing short of extraordinary. It’s an absolute honour for us to be a business partner and to contribute in any way we can to such a meaningful cause.

This Tuesday, we had the true privilege of bringing two of our rescue donkeys, Daphne and Delilah, to visit the North Devon Hospice on our day off from cleaning our holiday lets and tending to the rest of our farm animals! This truly special place holds a very dear spot in our hearts, and we’re so proud to support it as business partners.

Visiting the bedded unit and being welcomed with such warmth by the wonderful staff and patients was both humbling and uplifting. We’re also so relieved to report that the donkeys were on their very best behaviour—no furniture chewing this time, just plenty of treats and ear scratches! It was an absolute joy to spend time with the incredible individuals who devote themselves to the extraordinary work done here every single day. Your kindness, compassion, and tireless dedication are nothing short of inspiring, and it’s a genuine honour for us to play even a small part in supporting what you do.

When we’re not out with our donkeys or hog roasting, we’re welcoming guests to Lower Whitsleigh Farm, our beautiful family-run holiday destination in the heart of North Devon. With three unique holiday cottages, a hands-on farm experience, and plenty of friendly animals (including Daphne and Delilah as your next-door neighbours), it’s the perfect spot for a peaceful countryside escape.
