It's now been a year that I set up the 3 flats in Liverpool to make them pretty, functional, cosy and available to book for visitors to the area.
Probably the most physically draining weekend of my life, we got there and were shocked to see the refurb was still in full progress, and I had a van full of stuff and furniture being delivered as well.
It's been up and down, as expected the winter has seen few bookings and I'm in what's commonly referred to as 'the lag', that first one or two years in a new business where your outgoings are more than your income, and things take time to come to fruition.
That's when most people, the ameteurs, give up. Getting through this lag and onwards and upwards separates the women from the girls (this saying doesn't really work for females, does it?), and I'm powering through it.
I'm more motivated, knowledgeable, connected and experienced than ever, and it's going to be a great year for my business. I will make sure it is.
And, if anyone knows of someone going to Liverpool and needing somewhere to stay, they can book any of 3 nice 2-bedroom flats here: www.randos.co.uk/properties
