Lunch today was courtesy of our first visit to Bert's Pizzeria Brandesburton, only 15 minutes from the cottage.

Really tasty pizzas (super light dough) looking out over the lake and really friendly service from the staff. A shout out to Ruby in particular - it's lovely when you get such a friendly hello and conversation.

W O L D S W A N D E R 🥾🥾

The net was thrown a little wider today with an explore of further afield - a 15km walk out of the village of Goodmanham about 35 minutes from Chapel Bricks.

Oh, and I think I discover *literally* the most perfect spot in the world for hot, tired, and sore feet after 13km.

Topped off with a couple of cold ones at the charming The Goodmanham Arms.

We're here at our cottage for a few days this time, a rare opportunity to properly enjoy our own wee cottage (although we propose to be here far more this year).

Anyhow, today offered us some stunning weather and a life affirming, spirit lifting walk from Flamborough village out to North Landing and the Head. Utterly superb. As was the pint of White Rat at the Ship Inn Flamborough on completion...

The very first find in our Hornsea Pottery collection at Chapel Bricks was a Green Heirloom coffee set - a very suitable share on St Patrick's Day.

Heirloom was Hornsea’s first complete range of tableware. It was designed by John Clappison in 1966 and was produced in this Lakeland Green, Autumn Brown and Midnight Blue 💚🤎💙

Perfect coffee and perfect breakfast round our little gaff.

We've always got beans to grind and a grinder to blitz them to your preference. We've got the best cafetiere in the business (Gator - look them up) and our usual vintage mugs to enjoy it in.

Then, the breakfast - bacon from Whitedale Cottage Farm Shop, just down the lane, and black pudding from Richard Lowe Butchers in Hornsea.

Top class.

Transformed our lounge at Chapel Bricks by getting some key pieces of furniture beautifully painted by Lucy from Hedgehog & Moon .The Cornish Milk mineral paint range used brought out the perfect hues in the room, creating a really cosy retreat.
