What an adventure holiday @visitjamaica was! We went October half term for 10 nights. We really mixed it up with chill pool and beach days and going out to explore this incredible island. Which was so much more beyond our expectations! First we visited @chukkacaribbean #goodhope where we did zip lining, river tubing, #marthabrae river rafting and rum tasting! Along with lunch and chilling by their pool and using their amazing slide and waterfalls to play! (Only about 35mins from resort) Our next trip took us a bit further and we used @major1tours for our private transferโs on the next 3 trips and they were amazing! Next up #negril and the famous #7milebeach we had a day pass for the beaches resort so explored and made the most of the stunning beach! (Just over 2hr from resort) A couple of days later we visited @jaswampsafari where the famous #jamesbond crocodile stepping scene was filmed. Seeing some of the set where it was filmed along with crocs, snakes and other animals. (15min from resort) Last but not least we headed to the #bluelagoon @islandgullyfalls_ja jumped in, rope swinged and swam in the beautiful falls. And then headed 20mins from there to the famous @dunnsriver.jamaica where climbed up the falls from the bottom to the top! Absolutely stunning and been high on my bucket list since I met my hubby over 20yrs ago. We waited so long for this trip for the kids to be old enough to be able to take part. What a wonderful week @mabula_game_lodge_official An incredible experience we will never forget. The lodge was just over 2hr transfer from Johannesburg airport. Itโs made up of small lodge/out building all ground level. Around beautiful grounds where some animals walk around and play. A main indoor restaurant with a buffet which is the best buffet we have ever used. The trip included all inclusive package. So selected drinks inc also. (Good selection) Thereโs also outside Boma bbq restaurant which was open 2 evenings when there. And they did local dancing and drumming. And on New Yearโs Eve we went out to a bush setting to dine under the trees, stars and fairy lights! The rooms were really comfortable and it was lovely watching monkeys play from the room. Thereโs also swimming pool and swim up bar. Spa (half uk prices) Kids room with things to do and play with, small park, tennis court and football. Small market shop, and a gift shop. There was also other activities to do- horse riding, quad biking and cheetah walks all very reasonably priced.Inc we did 7 game drives (4 morning, 3 afternoon) 1 visit to the Hornbill project and an adults only bush walk (they would take kids on own extra drive when this was on!) Such an amazing place for children and for a first safari. Very relaxed and lots of down time as well as seeing soooo many wild animals! Other than the package all we spent all wk was under ยฃ100 on quad biking and spa treatments! And then a meal at the airport on return in a gastro pub burger place was under ยฃ38 for 5 of us!
