Calling all Clarkson fans. My son and I went to on the opening day. It’s 15 min drive from the house. It’s been done beautifully and is worth popping in. You and get yummy food and a pint. Enjoy your meal on the back decking and the views across the valley are breathtaking. Plus there’s a pop up shop where you can buy locally produced meat, beers and gifts. It’s a further 15min drive across to .farmshop

New artwork hung in Teddy’s room this week. This was originally the triple bunk bedroom, but they had to go!!! They became too challenging to change each week. Instead we now have a super comfortable double bed. I love this room, it’s cosy and boujee with the roll top bath at the end of the room.

We are so excited that our village pub The White Horse is back open. It’s walking distance from the house. Fabulous Sunday roasts. pre book for large groups. It gets busy on weekends.

When you come to stay at Hollyhock House. It’s worth knowing Blenheim Palace is less than 10mins drive from the house. There’s so much to see and do. You can walk around the lake. Take in the beautiful scenery. Go inside the palace and marvel at the decor. Visit the adventure playground. The gift shop and cream teas are delicious. It’s really worth the hype.

Last weekend guests came to stay for a friends 30th Birthday celebration. They gave me permission to share their decorations. I love all of the balloons and pink tones.

Spring is coming. I for one am not going to miss this winter. Every gateway is poached. Wet weather gear is worn out. Having said this…. I love it really. We live in an area out outstanding natural beauty. We are so blessed to be able to walk out the front door directly into open countryside. Why not bring your friends and family and dogs and wander the lanes and see the wildlife. We have some amazing local pubs and the food is excellent. .

Christmas decorations are up! 🌲I bought a pair of pheasants from Burford Garden Company. I absolutely love them and knew just the place I wanted to put them. I’ve named them after Harry and Taylor. 🕺💃
If anyone would like to book a mid week break we have availability. Sleeps up to 10 people. Dogs and children welcome. We are blessed with amazing dog walking countryside right out of the front door.
The house is brilliantly located for anyone coming to visit Blenheim Palace Light Trail. Bicester Village Daylesford Organic Soho Farmhouse Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens and more……

It’s the small things that get me excited. I bought a new American style fridge freezer, and Billy bookcase to house all of the wine glasses. It’s made the kitchen feel bigger and brighter.

We are so blessed to have Blenheim and Cornbury horse trials on our door step. I spent today grooming for a girl friend in the 100 eventers challenge.
So please consider staying with us for next years events. As we are so close by. We could even host a couple horses.

THIS COMING SATURDAY IN STONESFIELD (20mins from Oxford) From a decadent Prosecco bar to the sanctuary of the tea and cake tent, to the pulsiating live music marquee with a vast array of ales. Festival opens at midday (9th Sept) so come for lunch! We have brilliant selection of food vendors. Weather looking fantastic so bring the suncream :)
