From the 04th October countries will be classed as either Red or ROW (Rest of World).
For Fully Vaccinated Travellers visiting ROW countries this means:
No pre departure PCR test is needed before return to UK
From the end of October date TBA the two day test will change from an expensive PCR test to a lateral flow test.
Non vaccinated travellers will still need to test before departure and take a PCR test on day 2 and 8, as well as quarantining at home for 10 days.
Travelling from RED countries remains the same, with a hotel quarantine package needed on return. However many popular destinations have been removed from the RED list including the Maldives and Turkey.
This is fantastic news for those that want to travel to visit family and friends or to enjoy a long overdue holiday.
