My name is Mark Griffiths and I am a 54 year old married man and a passionate supporter of t
he England Football Team. I have been travelling abroad to watch England since 2002 (Why Did I leave it so long?). In general I just love sport and organizing events, hence I put the 2 together and came up with On The Ball Travel. Throughout my time travelling to watch England I have picked up invaluable experience and spent many many hours and much more trawling the internet to find the cheapest and best way to get to the games without being out of the country for days on end! (Going missing for days just brasses the wife and kids off)
I remember flying Stansted to Frankfurt for £20 return because it was cheap! Me and my England travel mate Hobbo underestimated the 10 hour drive from Frankfurt to Bratislava!! By the time we had travelled to Stansted, flown to Frankfurt and then hired a car to drive 10 hours to Bratislava and back it proved more expensive than flying direct! Did we learn our lesson? No! 10 years later we are still searching for the cheapest and best (normally long winded) routes, so I know from firsthand experience what most fans are doing when they plan an away trip to follow their team. I have enjoyed my experiences but it has taken 10 years to realize there are easier ways to get to a game. It is for this reason I have taken the step to organize my own trips to not just England games but for supporters wishing to travel to Champions League and Europa league games and Heineken Cup games for the Rugby. No matter what the event, I have vast experience and the enthusiasm to organize a trip to cater for supporters just wishing to travel to see their team in action
