Barbados - this glorious Island really is stunning in January. If you love golf then Barbados is an excellent place to practice your swing with golf courses throughout the island. Golf not your thing then why not chill out by the pool and really get into the swing of that relaxed Barbados vibe.

Maldives - January is absolutely tip top for diving in the Maldives. Minimal rain means that the seas are clearer - it also means the ideal trip for those searching out a sunny escape from our gloomy winter weather. Finding the right resort with house reef and your ideal mode of transfer really makes the Maldives a picture perfect destination in January.

Tanzania - If you're looking for sunshine and adventure then look no further than Tanzania. This is the perfect time to head to the Southern Serengeti to try and see the Big 5 in their natural habitat.

2025 is here and it's going to be a good year! Where are you planning on going this year?

I've got trips planned to Walt Disney World in Florida and Australia with my family. I'm hoping we can squeeze in some other smaller trips, but these big holidays are all booked! We're also heading to Latitude Festival this year. Yes - I'll be swapping my luxury hotels and spas for a tent and wellies, but Sting is there this year so it will be great (and I live 30 minutes away from Henham park and will come home for showers!).

I'm sailing with Norwegian Cruise Line in March on their international preview cruise aboard the Norwegian Aqua - I'm very excited for this and will be publishing lots of pictures!

What are your plans for 2025? It's a new year full of possibilities!

Day 9 of my twelve days of inspiration and today is Portugal.

Portugal has so much to offer and is the perfect temperature for a gorgeous sunny summer holiday or a balmy get away in the shoulder season.

How about something a little different for 2025?

This is Star Clippers a fantastic supplier who I attended training with last week. Star Clippers offer tall ship sailings around the Mediterranean and Caribbean. with two types of ship - the smaller taking approximately 100 passengers and larger 200 passengers this is a really unique opportunity for people looking for something different. Way back when I was at uni I spent a lot of time researching and writing about Vietnam - looking at this amazing country through the lense of a history student thinking about Ho Chi Minh, Vietcong and the American war on communism in the 1950s through to the 1970s.

Throughout all of this study and research I was struck by the beauty and variety of the country and I've loved to see how the Vietnam has risen in the past few years to showcase everything that I saw behind the darkness of its history and we are now seeing it rise in terms of one of the must visit countries for 2025 and beyond.

There are lots of options for visiting Vietnam - it's such a varied country. For this post I thought I would focus on one of our fantastic suppliers Intrepid.
